For anybody hung up on Saric's 6-10" wingspan, keep in mind that that measurement is from 2012, when he was 18. One thing you will notice is that prospects' wingspans tend to keep growing after they stop growing vertically.

So Saric's wingspan is probably 6'11ish, which isn't huge but it isn't t-rex. And because his height is 6'10+, and his shoulders are not very broad, his standing reach is probably pretty good for a PF or SF.

Here is a very recent game of Saric, I haven't watched it yet.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rg4bcXuhD8g

I hope we don't draft Smart. Too many terrible referential headlines in the future.

Im a big Marcus Smart fan, and this might be hopeful speculation: but I think the only logical explanation for him to skip the Utah workouts is that he has a promise at #6 and Smart has a gentlemen s agreement with Ainge.  Him skipping Utah workouts directly benefits the Celtics and not the top 4 picks since Utah won't be able to pick him anyways if one of the top 4 wants him.

Or with the Lakers or Sacramento? Don't think Danny has made any promises given the Love trade prospects.

Ive said it in other posts but I'll say it again that if we draft Smart i think Rondo is out. In that case an option would be to trade Rondo to the Lakers for the 7th pick, and take either Randle/Vonleh. Both are natural pf but Vonleh can play center if he needs to. Also next year is chuck full of centers so we could draft a center next year if we end up taking Randle.

Smart doesn't want to go to Utah.  Not that shocking when he can go to BOS or LA instead.

Seems to have been shaping up this way for the last week. Top 3, Exum, and Vonleh go 1-5 in some order.

I doubt smart would skip a draft workout for the 5th pick if the promise came from the 8th pick, lakers maybe but more likely the celtics

I would say it's definitely the Lakers, possibly the Celts (Gordon has been mentioned so often I'm thinking he's a smokescreen now). LA has had a gaping hole at PG for years and Smart would be a dream come true.

Boston would be a better situation despite the potential Rondo redundancy. It's only one spot later, and the team is in a bigger market and city.

Even Sacramento would be preferable, because despite not being a sexy city the team itself is more talented, and plus it's still California, right? The fan base is strong, the ownership is now secure, and Cousins is a rising star.

Charlotte at 9 is where Smart would start cutting teams out. It's way too late for a guy of his caliber and those teams (Charlotte, Philly, Denver) already have PGs.

Sadly, I have to agree on Orlando picking him

Victor Oladipo and him will be a terror of a backcourt.
You and I must define the word 'terror' differently  ;)

Long term, would most players rather be on the Jazz or the Lakers?

They would make lives heck for people defensively.  Both are physical and decent athletes.   I think they could even press which could be bad with a 24 second clock.
