People, you've got to understand this, LeBron is a millionaire, many times over.
He can send his kids to any school ... anywhere in the world from the posh Dalton in NYC, to some isolated Swiss School (for Diplomatic Offsprings), the local Miami PS system, or even homeschooling with the best private tutors in the world. I suspect that the school in OH is that whole sense of continuity, one generation to the next, at one's local public schools. And thus, his kids get to feel like their hometown is in Akron, despite the fact that their dad spends time in other cities for his career.
Unfortunately, this is an option not available to most of us. If we move from Boston to let's say Dallas, for a career switch, our kids will have to adapt to the Dallas school system, regardless of our wishes for them to stay in the Boston area, and grow up as lifelong Celtics. I guess we'd be adding the Mark Cuban's potential pool of future fans. On the other hand, LeBron has none of these concerns.
