According to multiple reports, LeBron?s two kids, Bryce Maximus and LeBron Jr., will be attending local public schooling next year in Bath Township, Ohio, where LeBron?s Akron mansion is located.

LeBron already stated that he plans on having his kids attend St. Vincent St. Mary?s, his alma mater, in Akron for high school.

With the anticipation in Cleveland of LeBron returning with the Cavaliers, this will obviously spark some intrigue and interest more so. Even if LeBron is just doing this so his kids can attend his high school which he is extremely familiar with, many will believe it will be a response to possibly reuniting with the team the drafted him back in 2003.

I'm won't read too much into sense it already states he has a huge home their and he's always intended for his kids to go to SVSM.

Still tough to see him leave Pat Riley and Miami - where he's had 4 straight trips to the Finals - for the dysfunction that is Cleveland and their front office. Especially after how Dan Gilbert acted after he left. I just don't see him leaving a proven commodity, not when he's still very much in his prime. Now in 5 or 6 years, at the end of his next contract and with his career on the downswing, I can see a nostalgic Cleveland swan song.

Or, possibly, LeBron and his wife think that Ohio is a better place for their kids to go to school.

There is a report that LeBron James has enrolled his kids in an Ohio school for the fall. Representatives of James say that report is false.

Still it is interesting to say the least.   Although it looks fake with the correction.

They lose Deng and Hawes and they can sign him.   They have Irving and LeBron and possibly Embiid not a bad foundation.   Thompson is a decent four and Waiters is a decent SG.  Say he gives a huge hometown discount and he brings a buddy then they could be contenders fast.   I'd favor them to win the East.

A longshot but who knows...I think they would welcome him back with open arms.   There would be some bitter folks but winning fixes everything.

People, you've got to understand this, LeBron is a millionaire, many times over.

He can send his kids to any school ... anywhere in the world from the posh Dalton in NYC, to some isolated Swiss School (for Diplomatic Offsprings), the local Miami PS system, or even homeschooling with the best private tutors in the world. I suspect that the school in OH is that whole sense of continuity, one generation to the next, at one's local public schools. And thus, his kids get to feel like their hometown is in Akron, despite the fact that their dad spends time in other cities for his career.

Unfortunately, this is an option not available to most of us. If we move from Boston to let's say Dallas, for a career switch, our kids will have to adapt to the Dallas school system, regardless of our wishes for them to stay in the Boston area, and grow up as lifelong Celtics. I guess we'd be adding the Mark Cuban's potential pool of future fans. On the other hand, LeBron has none of these concerns.

You people don't get it, if I were let's say, a billionaire, I'd have houses/condos in Boston, NYC, San Fran, London, Paris, Tokyo, Sydney, Honolulu, Singapore, etc.

And with the ability to charter flights, back and forth, at my beck and call, I'd want my kids to grow up in the Boston area, but then later, become world travelers, once they've established their roots in my hometown.

I believe that that's what LeBron has in mind for his kids. Sure, someday, they'll be globe trekkers, but between now and then, their roots are in Ohio.

I'm glad that we know what you would do if you were a billionaire.

If that buddy he brings with him is Chris Bosh, then yeah, they could win the east.  I don't think that the velociraptor wants to leave Miami, though.  If that did happen, does anyone think that Ray would go to Cleveland?  He and Lebrick seem to be inseparable  ::)

Regardless of where his children attend school I'm starting to believe that LAC and well as CLE are in the hunt for LeBron as much as MIA is attempting to retain him. Seriously. I've never been so convinced that there's actually a possibility of him leaving than I am today.

Play for Spo again with the aging core and Sam Perkins, I mean Bosh?

Play for un-named CLE coach, somehow work it out so they lose Deng, Hawes, Trade #1, and somehow get his buddy Carmelo to play with him? All Team No Defense starters for CLE between Dion, Kyrie, and Carmelo, anyone??

Play for Doc with CP3 and Blake?

Has his opting in for Miami ever been more in question? Seriously, I know the Western Conference is stacked but the Clips were one blown call away from advancing to the WCF (and admittedly probably losing to SA but still) so can anyone tell me that LeBron, CP3, Blake minus DeAndre wouldn't make noise? And yes, I know the Melo to CLE thing is super far-fetched. It's not even my idea, credit Simmons with that but really...is that so hard to believe either?
Long-form is far from dead, but please refrain from paragraph-laden posts! Who wants to read that?!

Got excited for a second as I thought at first glance, the title read "Lebron's kids will attend school in Northeastern."
