I find it interesting that Stauskas is only working out for Celtics (6),Lakers(7),  Bobcats(9) and the Suns (14) {but 3 first so could move up}

I really like Stauskas and think he would be a great fit as the 3rd guard to RR and AB. He would provide this rotation size, shooting and is a superior ball handler to AB making him a capable second unit primary ball handler. I believe #6 is to high to draft Stauskas and that he would be drafted in a trade down situation. I could also see the suns looking at him in the same light with Dragic and Bledsoe and trading #14 and 18 or 27 to move up to get him. Denver at #11 has been rumored to be discussing a deal with the Bulls for #16 and #19 so they seem like a plausible target to trade their pick to a team wanting Nik.

As for potential moves for the Cs to trade down for Nik this came to mond: (mind you Ive never been a McGee fan)

Cs send #6 and Wallace

Nuggets receive #11, McGee, and #41

The celtics take on a potential headache but one who could also be a diamond on the rough. Immaturity and BBIQ have been his issue since he has been in the league but with age it is possible to grow out of both. Looking at what Doc was able to do with D Jordan gives some hope for McGee. He would fit perfectly with Sully or Klove and Rondo would definitely help his offense. He and wallace have the same years left on their deals and the only catch is that wallaces stays around 10.1 mill where McGees grows to 12mill in the last year. McGee fills a roster place of need where Wallace will be likely in and out of the rotation moving forward. If DA can get the #41 added to deal I think he will find good value at this pick with alot of guys the Cs have worked out still likely on the board at this point (Nick Johnson and DeAndre Daniels being my favorites).

The nuggets would be in a position to likely draft Smart. He is an excellent fit with their team and could play along side and back up Lawson. Mozgov would take over the starting center role that he earned with his end of the year play. Wallace should fit in nicely backing up their often injured SFs and Faried

I'm a big fan of Stauskas as well, but I wouldn't trade down from number 6 to get him.  I'd use #17 and either the Clippers pick or the Philly picks, or both, to move up.  If that's not enough, so be it.  There's too much talent at 6 to trade down.

A team in the Celtics position should only think about trading down if they are getting a very real, proven player AND can still get "their guy" so to speak. In this year's draft, the best trade down draft target would be Saric, who I think is a tier or two above Stauskas and would go top-8 if there was no concern over his willingness to come over next year.

I like Stauskas but agree that he is a better trade-up target than a trade-down. Gordon and Stauskas would an excellent haul.

My ideal set of non-Love draft night trades would be swapping #6 with Charlotte for #9 and #24, picking Saric at #9, and then using #17 and #24 to jump up for Stauskas.

I would like that very much, though my ideal would be moving the #6 to Orlando for Afflalo and the #12, drafting Saric at #12, then taking James Young at #17.

I have to say, I've spent the last 45 minutes or so watching some Stauskas clips and reading some reports. For some reason, I just didn't see the totality of his game until tonight. He's moved way up my board and I think he's a fantastic fit for the Celtics. His passing ability is excellent, as is his handle. His ability to penetrate is sorely underrated.

He would be deadly next to Rondo. I could get excited about Gordon and Stauskas or a trade down for McDermott/Stauskas and a trade up for the other. Can you imagine the offensive threat the Celtics would pose if they drafted McDermott and Stauskas to play alongside Sully and KO? Olynyk could eventually become a prolific scorer with floor stretchers like Doug and Nik.

I think this is an excellent idea by the OP, TP for you.

No one has been talking about McGee.  Pretty darn good rim protector.  Know he had a knee injury, would want to check him out medically before pulling trigger on that trade though.
