Adrian Wojnarowski: Sacramento and Boston discussing a trade sending Ben McLemore to Celtics for the 6th pick, league source tells Yahoo Sports. Twitter @WojYahooNBA - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors/tag/boston_celtics#sthash.zxJgP4N5.dpuf

Is Cousins coming with McLemore?  McLemore is no way near enough value and Stauskas wouldn't make sense with McLemore.

that would be awful!!! Smart >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> McLemore
I disagree.   McLemore is a legit SG prospect.  He struggled, but he's going to be an elite shooter and has the proper size and athleticism to play that position.  I'd probably be more excited about McLemore than another 5'11 SG who hoists up bricks.

Wonder if any trade option with Orlando exists, assuming the rumor they loved Smart (although he kind of duplicates what Oladipo des).  I'm all about quality over quantity, Smart is ok but I believe Gordon will be great.  Smart + 17 for Gordon?  Not sure Orlando would even consider.

Couldn't have said it any better

Gordon will be a bum, I'm absolutely thrilled Orlando took him at 4...shocked,  but thrilled.  They will be the laughing stock of the league in a couple of years when they realise that athleticism is not everything.

Not sure why people are winning over the smart pick.   He was the best player available, and one of the more domimant scorers and defenders in college he suits the team's needs too.

Everybody here keeps complaining that Boston doesn't have enough guys who attack the basket,  draw fouls etc,  and that we always get stuck chucking jumpers.   Smart is the guy to solve that problem.

He's also bigger and stronger than Bradley,  and one of the few guards in the draft who could replace his production of he leaves.   I suspect Smart is going to become a real good player.   If he doesn't become at least a 17/4/4 guy I'll be very surprised.

A know some are wondering what the Smart pick means for Rondo (Wyc says it means nothing..we'll see), but I think that it also gives Boston leverage, especially with AB's RFA coming up.

Elfrid Payton could be on the move, sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Wojo

Probably coming to Boston, because we could use another guard that can't shoot.

Ridiculous Smart comments....He's an inch taller than Bradley but is 230lbs and has a 6'9 wingspan.  Not to mention 2 good ankles.

Great post. Smart is a fine pick, and I see Bradley gone. Ainge may give him a modest offer and AB likely will reject it and test the waters. Thing is, this team has so many needs and everybody has their own ideas of what to address. Ainge will continue with an active off-season to clean up this roster and get a rim protector.

REALLy wanted Randall at six ... Smart is a great little guard, but he can't shoot and is a wrok-in-progress/roll-of-the-dice in that respect. Randal is what we NEED, so unless Danny has something up his sleeve, I think this went south with Smart over Randall.

I think Smart is going to end up being the better player. He's already a really good defender which will get him minutes to develop. Randle can't defend anything and hes going to need to develop a J for some of his offense in the NBA. He's a pretty big risk

Hope you're right ... Randle is the best offensive rebounder in the draft ... great wingspan, hard worker, and WAY better defender than you intimate here. Time will tell, I guess, but I don't think that position was our greatest need at all ... maybe Danny's got some deals in the shadows.

Nooooooo  :'(
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.
