You can read here what Ford had to say on C's picks:

...and you can read what Ford said about some other picks here at the update at 3:05 today, 6/10:

Last night I almost created a thread about how we should make exactly these picks.

"1. More Gordon chatter. Cool. He's the youngest player in the draft, he should make an immediate impact with his defense and athleticism, and he has serious offensive potential if he can ever fix his broken jump shot. "

LOL can't hit a free throw but has serious offensive potential? ::)

Thankfully for my own sanity I put no stock in mock drafts!

Would much rather TJ Warren or Rodney Hood at 17. Not sure about Gordon

I like Warren a lot, but I think Gordon can ultimately develop into 80-90% of the scorer that Warren is, while bringing so much more to the table.

Smart and Warren would be a good couple of picks together, as would Gordon and LaVine and perhaps Gordon and Anderson.

Because Shaq and Rondo were bad offensive players right?

Agree. There were a few who were bad freethrow shooters that were very good offensive players, like Baron Davis for example. And bad freethrow shooting in college can be corrected, take avery bradley for example. Scottie Pippen was also sub-par early in his career yet you cannot say he wasnt a good offensive player.

noah, randle, and smart have to be ahead of gordon. I hear so much speculation about Gordon, but at the end of the day he is neither a sf or a pf.

Honest question....What do you see in Gordon that would make you take him over Randle or Vonleh?

I'd love Smart and Warren, assuming we don't trade the picks.

Latvian guard Dairis Bertans invited to Celtics Summer League team http://www.celticsblog.com/2014/6/9/5792766/latvian-guard-dairis-bertans-invited-to-celtics-summer-league-team

It's worth mentioning that Porzingis is also from Latvia.

Nice spot.  The Celtics intentions could easily be to help Porzingis transition to America and the NBA.

I can't wait until this draft is over. This habit of constantly posting draftexpress vids and you tube vids on prospective players is getting nauseating, like these vids are the end all be all of how to judge these players. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, sick of seeing them.

If the kid never fixes his shot he is a glorified Tony Allen only worse with his shooting. I want more from my #6 pick than a role player.
