T.J is just so strong offensively and although he isn't a great defender or great 3 point shooter, he can steal  really well. He has the highest PER in the draft. Like a consistent Jeff green, which is a bit of an oxymoron.

Likely he won't be there.  We would have to move up to get him

jeff green looked like a consistent jeff green coming out of georgetown.  His lack of an outside shot concerns me, but I'd still be happy with him at 17

I'm torn on Warren.  He was a very efficient scorer in college, which is a big deal.  However, perimeter scorers who don't shoot well from the perimer don't tend to have the highest success rate.  And at the 3, he'll be defended by the best athletes in the league.  Teams will just sag off of him and dare him to shoot long jumpers.

Having said that, there is something about his offensive game that I really do like.  He's tough, confident and has a nack for getting the ball where he wants it.  I wouldn't call him the biggest hidden gem, but I would be happy if the C's came away with him at 17.

He's a mid-range and in scorer, not a perimeter scorer, as of now.

But coming out of high school and his freshman year of college he was known as a 3 pt marksman, and he said he struggled with confidence from out there this year. I'm not too worried about his outside shot once his form and balance get cleaned up. His shooting touch is excellent everywhere else. 58% from 2 is amazing, like the 24 ppg that was more like 30 ppg toward the end of the season, including two straight 40+ point games.

His game was still growing toward the end of the year, as an absolutely dominant scorer.

Agreed.  If he's still around, I'd love to get Warren at 17.

No he is most likely going to be there. But I'm not a fan at all. Unathletic wing who can't shoot or defend ? Come on he isn't going to be a good pro

Funny, he shot almost 52% from long range as a freshman, granted on a limited sample.  That being said, he was NC State's ONLY decent scorer, so he WAS double and triple-teamed all stinking year.  I am a diehard NC State fan, so I know a little about their teams.  My brother and daughter were chemical engineering graduates from there.

I like Warren's game A LOT and think he can be a good NBA starter if he is put into the proper situation. I think he needs to be given a lot of rookie minutes and groomed to be a starter in his second or third year. I don't like drafting him if we take another 3 (Gordon) earlier given that there should be very good guard and big prospects available at #17. I would be very happy with Smart at #6 and either Warren, Nurkic or Porzingis at #17. If the Celtics go with Gordon or Saric I'd like them to take either Harris, Stauskas, Young (if they slip), Hairston, Ennis, Payton, Ennis, LaVine or one of the aforementioned bigs at 17.

Guy who can't shoot lead the ACC in scoring.  Maybe people just don't like the unorthodox shots he takes.

I hope someone drops, we have been really lucky gambling when someone drops.  PP, Sully were drops.

You see McDermott dropping that far? Supposedly he's top 10.

We're going to get some one good at 17.  Deep draft.

I like Warren too.
