Fifteen player roster. You have to compete with the Bird, Magic, Jordan, Dream team. Good luck!

You won't be able to get Ibaka (Spain) or Noah (France).

Forfeit to original Dream Team. Save time. Maybe get back together that group of college all stars that beat the Dream Team in practice.

even though Bird was past his prime at that point, no one else on the Dream team was.  Dream team soundly beats whatever 12 players the current NBA would trot out there.

depends, are we playing under modern rules or the rules of 1992.  The 92 team would struggle with the much greater finesse required in today's game and similarly today's team would struggle with the physicality of the game in the early 90's.

As for my 15 man roster I'd go

PG - Paul, Westbrook, Curry
SG - Harden, Bryant
SF - Durant, Anthony, George
PF - James, Duncan, Love, Aldridge
C - Howard, Davis, Cousins

I think that team with its speed, quickness, and outside shooting would pose a lot of problems for the old guys under modern rules.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

1st team-2nd team
PG - Paul - Curry
SG - Durant - Harden
SF - James - George
PF - Love - Davis
C- Howard - Aldridge

13-15
K. Thompson
Drummond
Irving

I want a lot of perimeter shooting, so I went with Love at the 4, instead of the better Davis to help spread the floor for Howard and James. I chose Thompson for his ability to shoot. Irving as a scorer, who has the ability to play both guard spots. Chose him over Westbrook because he's a better shooter. Drummond for his size and athleticism inside.

Paul / Curry / Rondo
Harden / Wade / Iguodala
Durant / George
Anthony / Aldridge / Griffin
LeBron / Howard / Cousins / Davis

LeBron and Melo excelled guarding Centers in the Olympics.  Nobody in the league has enough size and talent to deal with the Dream Team, your only chance is to outrun them.

I'd like to see how far Chuck can back down before getting stripped.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Bigs: Anthony Davis, Dwight Howard, Kevin Love, Chris Bosh, Blake Griffin, LaMarcus Aldridge

Wings: LeBron, Durant, Melo, George

Guards: Paul, Curry, Wade, Harden

My starting lineup would look something like this:

Paul-Curry-Durant-James-Howard (awesome combo of skills)

Can Paul or Westbrook hold up physically to play international competitions? I have my doubts. They can barely get through the NBA season. Team U.S.A. should reconsider Rondo.

Paul   Curry
LeBron  George
Durant  Melo
Davis  Griffin
Howard   Aldridge

Love
Kawhi
Lillard
Westbrook

15th would be Klay Thompson or Wesley Mathews for 3 pt shooting.  Might pick Cousins over Howard.  There is so much scoring, I don't see a need for Harden, I took Westbrook over him because he is more versatile. Jabari Parker would be my 15th if we had to have a Laettner.  I went Lillard over Irving.

Just as a reminder the Original Dream Team was

PG - Magic, Stockton
SG - Jordan, Drexler
SF - Bird, Pippen, Mullin
PF - Malone, Barkley, Laettner
C - Robinson, Ewing

A great team, but under modern rules I really think my 12 would have a great shot at running and gunning them out of the gym.  Also, the match-up problem that James at PF poses would force the old guys to go small and play Pippen at PF to try and guard him, which cuts out a lot of the physical strength advantage the old guys have.

PG - Paul, Wesbrook
SG - Harden, Bryant
SF - Durant, Anthony
PF - James, Duncan, Love
C - Howard, Davis, Aldridge

Deep bench - Curry, George, Cousins
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip
