Makes no sense for Celts to tip their hand. Less information is better. Would just give fodder to Utah to draft Gordon and expect additional comp in exchange for the 6th pick. GMs love playing this game, makes them look clever.  Maybe Danny really likes Smart or Randle instead.

They're certainly going to.

Doubtful they pass on a likely superstar.

good.  dude will be an all star.
Yes. Or he'll be Michael Beasley.
He might end up being a tweener without much impact play, but he'll never be a lazy chucker like Beez.

Not his game.
Well, Beasley IS a tweener without much impact play. I was emphasizing the outcome rather than the reasons.
Use Derrick Williams then.

Beasley wouldn't be such a negative player if he bothered to try to rebound or defend.

Or us trading Gordon along with Sullinger/Olynyk for Kevin Love.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

Eh, Mannix + "believed to be locked in" = weak rumor

Oh if I had a dime for every time some one posts a rumor and the source is shot down.  A rumor is a rumor, whether its from a "weak" source or Wojo himself.  It's still a discussion point and who knows, there have been sources out there quoted (Bleacher Report comes to mind), that people in these forums shot down, and low and behold, the rumor was actually true.  Maybe we should keep the opinion of the originators to ourselves, and not just shoot everything down.

If true, get ready for some really ugly offensive basketball from the Celtics next season.

I'm already used to that. Even with Pierce, KG, and Allen it was kind of an ugly offensive team quite often. Must be that dirty Boston water.

I would think Minnesota would like Doug McDermott or Saric more.

Just curious, could you please rank the "Insiders" from those that you do believe to those that you don't?

Please do not include Bert Ramirez.   ;D

Your in the minority these guys are projected below Gordon in most mocks.   MIN already had Wally World so why would they want Doug?

The highest I seen these guy go is 8th for Doug and 9th for Saric and as low as 12th.  Gordon has been as high as 6th and as low as 10th.

I'm okay with that.

Thats way to much for a player that makes us a pled away from contending.

we should draft bpa...which is not gordon at 6...and then trade down for when gordon is selected, that is if the twolves want gordon. But all this for love is too much

I really want to have my cake (Love / Melo) and eat it, too (keep the #6).

I realize this isn't very plausible, but it sure would be great.

I mean, we got KG without giving up the #5, right?  It would be nice to get Gordon, mainly because he will be a good role player right away and will cost us very little money

Who said that people shouldn't discuss the report?

I'm very skeptical of the source.  Mannix is an interesting reporter and seems like a good guy, but his sources are weak, and even the report itself doesn't say definitively that Danny is "locked in".  Rather, it's "believed" that that is Danny's thinking, i.e., the sources are reading tea leaves.

Not all sources are created equal, and the credibility of somebody spreading a rumor is a valid topic of discussion.
