The 15 NBA Players with Triple Doubles Off The Bench (Since 1985) http://www.interbasket.net/news/13735/2014/02/nba-players-bench-triple-doubles/
Thank you for illustrating my point better than I ever could: NBA teams do not keep "triple double threats" on the bench, as evidenced by the fact that those have happened just 18 times total over the last 30 years or so.

Think about it fellas, Jabari Parker's basement is 6th Man of the Year type player as well.

Parker got benched in multiple games for not being able to play defense, against mediocre college teams.

There are going to be plenty of matchups where you can't even put Parker on the floor if you want to.

But a 6th Man of the Year/Situational starter can still be a top 3 player on a team.

Anderson's length, IQ, and skills are beyond NBA ready. There's no risky projections of future skill development or basketball IQ development to worry about. The only "worry" is whether he can gain 10-15 pounds as a 20 year old.

No rational person would worry about a 6'9" 20 year old gaining 10-15 pounds in the future.

There's a chance he doesn't gain suitable weight to defend PFs at a decent level for two more years. Until he fills out and starts filling that Lamar Odom starting PF role, he'll be doing plenty of damage off the bench against less than world class PFs and SFs.

Yes, just tell those opposing teams to play their "less then world class PFs and SFs" for 30+ minutes a game, so that Anderson can be a "triple double threat" every game.

I'm sure this somehow seems logical in your mind, but it doesn't make sense, really. If you're good enough to play 30 minutes in the NBA, you play 30 minutes -- and it doesn't matter whether you're starting off on the bench or not.

Kyle's possible inability to play 30 mpg as a rookie is no reason not to draft him top 15-20, or to not be excited about his future.

It's not going to take him that long to put on 10-15 pounds, even if it does take a year or more.

That has nothing to do with the fact that "triple double threat off the bench" is a pretty humorous description.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

If I wanted to save time, I wouldn't be here to begin with :P

If you want to save even more time, just listen to the espn guy talk about only 6 prospects, and convince yourself nobody outside of the echo chamber has any potential to be a star.

Then you all can just sit around crying about how we didn't get Wiggins or Parker.

I don't think only the top 6 will become stars (of the top 6 I think Vonleh will be a bust). I like Zach LaVine a lot of the guys not in the top 10. I'm also a fan of Nurkic, Payne and Warren.

It seems like Anderson has a lot of the same qualities as Saric, who do you like better?

I have to say this for you, you aren't afraid to go against the grain. If you end up being right you can point to this and gain a lot of respect on the board. But if you are wrong...
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Yes, we've already noticed that you like picking up fringe prospects and hyping them ad nauseam just to stick it to the "ESPN guy" (in addition to Anderson, see also threads about Saric and Porzingis).

No, there's no glory in going against the grain and being right. People just accuse you of gloating and go back to their myopic conventional ways.

Don't forget about Aaron Gordon, I've been hyping him to. And I also like McDermott and Nurkic and Warren.

You won't have to gloat if you are right about Anderson or Saric, I will go out of my way to give you the credit you deserve.

As far as Saric vs Anderson, I rank Saric higher because he is more athletic, which will make him a better defender.

But with the posturing about only coming to the nba if he goes to Boston or LAL, presumably at #6 or 7, we're not likely to end up with him. I can actually see him pulling out of the draft.
