Flip is hurting because Love wants a deal that will not break the Celtics. The great thing about this weekend is Rondo seems to be staying if things go right

I feel optimistic that if the Celtics trade for Love, then both Rondo and Love will stick around as long as the Celtics make the playoffs and Ainge doesn't disrespect them by offering lowball contracts.

i'm not desperate. You are. And you can't be patient like alot of fans here

Any All star or All star like player , that can't play defense , hasn't made  the playoffs, are or will be overpaid etc. it doesn't matter, as long as they are a big name. Please come here and get us back to glory land

I don't care about that. I care about rebuilding a team a proper way (or least get a guy that is singed for more than a year).  Trust your gm, coaches etc to get us back to contending.

There is no "proper" way to rebuild. There are many paths, and acquiring someone like Love is one of them.

uhm...it's our GM and coach who are after Kevin Love. I'm pretty sure they didn't go after him just because some of us here thought it was a good idea.

What exactly does Miss Manners have to say about building a successful NBA franchise?

Exactly. How many times have the celtics actually built a successful championship team through the draft? We got Bill Russell through one of Auerbach's legendary trades, and managed to put together the original big 3 through similar Auerbachian trade moves. On top of that, how many times in the past 20 years have they done it? We all remember how Ainge put together the last celtic big 3.

In addition, the Lakers, the franchise with the second most championships, didn't put their teams together through the drafts either. They bought and/or traded for their players.

i'm not offended by what he said. if it was someone who mattered then I might care.
Given that he's the President of Basketball Operations out there, I'd say he matters a tiny bit.

This. When you have a chance like this to obtain a superstar you'd be crazy not to go for it... I mean if it weren't for this method we could kiss 08 and our last five years of relevance goodbye.

Rondo and Love would be an amazing duo moving forward, for bball purposes as well as other FAs. Clear some cap space with Wallace gone next season sign another max superstar, new big 3 and younger than Miami

GessePete

Men are hard headed ,   A chick tells them she doesn't dig a dude and the guys all go into denial

These owners are the same .....they can't grow up and move on

The old trailer park white trash say n

If I can have her nobody will......usually ends up in her getting the gun

But in the NBA these spoiled owners can't take it when their players want out

So .....like the Magic and Laker , etc they play tuff guys trying to force someone to play where they don't want to play .......

How d that work,out Mitch...forces,a,player to,his,team and then try's to,make him stay..

Come on Rondo !

Talk KLove into it .

Do it !

Flip really likes the C's .....they saved his hide....when kinda was messed up at Washington.

I think .....anything Flip says negative .....is meant to SEPERATE himself from being a help in moving KLove to,the Celtics or anywhere else...

Ifs his duty to act tuff and pretend the Wolfs aren't going to loose Love .

I don't think he want to be seen in the light as a flunky for the Celtics.

ehh, true. but if trading Love to us is the best option for their franchise then it doesn't matter.
