Im not crying butthurt over this but it does suggest he feels threatened about having things dictated to him and doesn't like it.  If he deals Love he is going to lose his job cause I can't see that team winning without him.

Its not the first time a player or coach has left Boston and taken some shots.  A passionate fanbase can hold a grudge a long time.  He isn't wrong either.

Whether or not we get Love, he wants out of Minnesota. Must sting for ole Flip.

Yes, his comment is likely sour grapes from someone who knows he's losing his best player. I think we should get nervous if he starts dissing other fans, it would mean we have solid competition for Love.

Flippant Saunders is a jerk.  Not much of a coach, either.

i'm not offended by what he said. if it was someone who mattered then I might care.

it must suck for him drafting players for other teams.

Say goodbye to having a chance at love fans. No way he will give the celts love unless danny seriously overpays.

I didnt wan love anywyas

Maybe you weren't around when we got KG, but the Twolves did the same sort of posturing to try to drive up the return back then too. All teams do it, it's part of the process. Love will not be with the Twolves next season, and he very likely will be a celtic.

i also believe Orlando acted this way before dealing Dwight to LA.  People were calling them the Lakers farm team.  You'd have to think the media as been up there rear ends for a response about all this, it was all over the internet (Loves trip to Boston).

There is a difference between what the media portrays and what the gm actually says.

Maybe there was a bad ending with Flip and the Celtics.

Flip Saunders: 'I expect Kevin Love to be here next year'

More Flip on Love and his trip to BOS: "I expect him to be playing for us next year. I don't dictate where guys go on vacation."

Imo this kind of ends this whole Love to the Celtics rumors. For now anyways. If Love, wants to play for us so badly, he will come over as a FA in 2015.    Flip is not going to satisfy the Celtic fans/org even if he has no choice and has to trade Love. He will trade him somewhere else.

LOL...this doesn't end anything, this is just the beginning. You can't honestly believe that Love is staying in Minny and that the celtics are not under serious consideration to acquire him. We get that you hate the idea of Love coming to Boston, but your constant misrepresentation of facts doesn't change the situation.

A big part of Saunder's comments imo are to cover up any allegations of tampering that may otherwise occur, as I think it's pretty evident that Boston and Minnesota have had some serious discussions and possibly have a deal in place already.

Nice picture. But who cares?  Love the dummy prob made things worse by visiting Boston while saying publicly he wants out of Minny

It's up to Minny and Saunders to trade him here. Doubt they will give the Celts org the satisfaction.   Like i already said, if Love wants to come here so badly, he can do so in the 2015 FA period

Any good GM would say these things. Love being in Boston hurt some of the TWolves leverage, some other teams that had out side shots, probably backed out, leaving less competition to Boston.

The way things were going with Love being in Boston, Rondo and Ortiz recruiting him DA could have gotten him for A a case of Sam Adams and a couple of Labstah's. :P

Putting your own ego ahead of the best deal that puts your organization in a position to rebuild and rebound from the loss of it's star player.

Im pretty sure if there was a book on 'What Not to do as a General Manager' this would be on the inside cover.

Flip is saying what any GM would say..hell Danny would say the same thing..because it's technically true. Everything is about leverage and Flip isn't going to publicly concede to the fact that Love may want to come here. You think that these GM's and front office people really care about making or not making a deal to stick it to the fans? Well maybe the Knicks organization would.
