defense, defense, horrible defense.  If you think KO is a bad defender, think again. Get ready to cringe

Tim Duncan is not walking through that door. KG is not walking through that door. Bill Russell is not walking through that door. Who do you propose we realistically get instead?

Not every contender has to be built the same way. Not all of our stars need to be top defenders.

Love needs to work harder on defense, but highlight videos can make Gerald Green look better than Jordan.

What Kevin Love does on offense far exceeds what his defensive issues. It's true that Love needs to work on his defense, but the Celtics can provide a defensive center to hide him.

You don't have to be a top defenders but at least be a competent one. At least freaking try. Love like Rondo these days, has his feet stuck to the ground or something on the defensive end.

You see on the many highlights how he doesn't bother to contest the shots and just faces the board hoping to get a rebound/pad his stats.   This is the same crap Rondo does actually

So we will have two guys that can't , i mean don't put in the effort to play defense, and both fight each other so they can get a defensive rebound.  If this is the definition of what a star player is suppose to be, please give me someone else

You know who else took many plays off on defense when he was young? Paul Pierce. Doc changed his game and made him a much better all around player. In the right system, Love can be a decent defender.

Did you actually watch those clips?  His man may score but in most of them Love is in correct position and gives a decent effort.

this is as false as it gets. Sure he might torch 1st year rookies like KO or no defense David Lee on the offensive end more than getting beat on the defensive end. But usually gets beaten up pretty good on both ends from guys like Bosh, Aldridge, David West, Zbo. Even our own Sully did a pretty good job on him this past season

Having a defensive anchor at the 5 is much more important. The last 3 NBA champions had Bosh, Nowitzki and Pau at PF. Not one of those players is known for being good at defense, with Pau being pretty darn bad.

decent effort? There is no effort.  I don't think he contested one jump shot. You can't even raise your arm? He also has seriously poor lateral quickness and little to no anticipation skills.

Just horrible

he could be taking the "I have to stay on the floor for this team to have a chance" approach.

I disagree. Bosh is a very good defender. Nowitzki is underrated and utilizes his length very well. Pau is a poor defender now but was not before.  At least he put in the effort

I don't care if you get blown by. Or can't really jump. At least try is all i ask.

Don't half effort it, get ready for a rebound to pad your stats.   If you want to win, why would you want to play basketball like this?

Sorry, but digging up YouTube videos isn't going to make me want Love any less.

Actually, now I want to see the Celts acquire him even more.

See ya.

Bosh is a decent defender, nothing special. Same with Dirk and Pau. I'd agree that it would be helpful to get someone like Asik if we get Love.
