Roy Hibbert, who had a rough second half and even worse playoffs, is reportedly available for the right price.

There is said to be some thought on both sides ? management and Hibbert?s ? that a fresh start would be beneficial for everyone after the big man?s second-half woes.

Hibbert?s camp hasn?t outright asked for a trade, sources say, but word is that it wouldn?t exactly oppose one if the Pacers decide to actively shop their center.

Not worth his paycheck.

If he is the final piece of the puzzle, worth overpaying for.

But not as an initial piece that you build around. Paycheck to large / difficult to put together enough top level talent around him to make it work.

I'd rather have Asik.

If we get Love, we should trade for Hibbert.

I don't really want Hibbert, but you know what? This is actually pretty good. It makes sense. Have to work out the specifics on how it could be broken into separate trades, but not bad.

who sends what draft picks to Houston in this trade because they would need multiple ones to even consider it unless they absolutely knew they were going to sign Melo.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

if we get Love what pieces will we have left to trade for Hibbert?

Second, do you really want two players that do not play defense? I saw Hibbert play against the Heat and he looked tired an old. He is too young to play with such lethargy.

Meh to Hibbert.

Too soft. This year's playoffs proved it.  For this team I'd rather have Perk back at a reasonable price.

Melo will be the rockets starting PF next year. He along with parsons harden and Dwight will be very formidable.

I know this sounds crazy, 27 year old allstar center, but I totally agree. He has one of the lower BBIQs I've ever seen. It's crazy how slow his reactions are even if we're just talking rebounds, but his rotations in the playoffs this year were garbage. The league seems to have figured him out. Play a stretch 5 and Hibbert is useless. His averages for last season were (generously) 11/7/2. For $15M/yr that isn't good enough. Sullinger is statistically a much better player.

I'd rather have Asik. He makes less $ for less years and plays way better defense. I don't see why we'd take the lesser center who averaged 9/6/1 in 30 minutes of play when we could just cut Indiana out of the trade, get Asik and trade them Bogans + TPE for Lin/Asik. They get cap space this year, we get it next year. And we can keep Green or trade him to Washington in a separate deal.

With our #6 and the (unprotected) Brooklyn pick next year going to Minny and the Philly pick we got this year going to Houston. Minny will ask for another pick, maybe next year's LAC 1st, and I'd probably cave but they'd have to swap me Kevin Martin for Joel's contract.

Minny gets Sully + three 1st round picks and Houston gets Green, cap space and a potential 1st (likely 2 high 2nds).
