Hibbert would have been fine with KG, PP and RA.   This team not so much.

Umm...Asik makes like $15M this year?  That's on par with Hibbert.  However Hibbert is a far superrior offensive player and, yes, a superior defender.  He might be slow, but his shotblocking ability creates nightmares for opposing teams. 

I totally understand the desire to add Asik's skill set to the team, but only if he could be had for a decent price - anything above about $7m-$8m for Asik is horribly overpaying for such a one dimensional guy who is such a major liability on offense.  If we could get Asik for that type of money then I would entertain the idea, but for $10M+ no way...not worth it.  He's really just a rich-mans Perk and is a pure role player.

I don't think Asik is a better defender.  If Hibbert is better on offense, Asik is better on rebounding by a larger margin.
