I'm so excited about this.
Still a couple people here hesitant about adding Love...  but give it a year and you'd see threads titled, "Kevin Love best Celtic since Larry Bird".

I'm actually concerned that it could go in the other direction, and if Boston doesn't win a title he'll forever be "the guy who isn't as good as Bird or Garnett were".

He has the  respect of his peers and coaches and owners around the league

It would be a HUGE. ...absolute HUGE coup. for Danny and Boston

Frankly it would put Boston basketball back on the map......

Not to mention the possible stars that would want to join Rondo and Love

I'm all in.

Trying not to give my hopes up...

But there's really no rational explanation for Kevin Love to be in Boston right now other than it having something to do with him potentially getting traded here.  He's been to Boston before... several times with the Timberwolves.  WHy would he randomly decide to "check out Boston" for a weekend in the midst of his Summer vacation.  Dude should be chilling in the Virgin Islands or something... not hanging out in Boston.

This is clearly tied to Boston's attempts to trade for him.  I still don't think it's 100% certain to happen, because I think other teams may step in with better offers... but this is absolutely related to the Celtics.

Agreed. It doesn't mean that things are basically a done deal, but it does almost certainly mean that Ainge is deep in talks with them.

I hate to break it to you bro, but no amount of championships is going to change that.  That WILL be forever, you SHOULD be concerned.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Kevin Love would be a HUGE star in Boston.
Relative to?

Rondo has been a top 15 player for years.

Kevin Love has been a top 15 player who now has an argument for top 10.

He's barely going to be the best player on the team.  He's definitely not going to be a Tom Brady.

I'm not sure what your point is. Is it that Boston shouldn't trade for him or is it a preemptive "nobody's as good as my favorite players"?
