"Take on Splitter's contract"....yeesh.

I'd "take on" LeBron's contract.

Yeah, San Antonio would prefer to rebuild and forfeit a couple chances at a championship :-\  I wish Miami made a move like this a couple years ago ;)

No way San An does this

I think there is a 100% chance San Antonio does this. 110%. Think about Diaw outside the San Antonio system. Think about pretty much everyone on their roster outside of Parker, Duncan, and Gino. They are the ultimate 'system' team. Their organization makes you better by association.

Kawhi would be a valuable piece here, a guy you'd want, but he's no franchise cornerstone. Knowing SAS's luck, Exum or someone falls and SAS picks up their next superduperstar.

You think there's a 100% chance that San Antonio takes on a worthless player on a bad contract (Wallace), Bass and the #6 pick for two starters on a contender?

The #6 isn't going to contribute right away.  San Antonio would be basically blowing up a championship team to build for the future, which doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Yeah I didn't read the OP very well. For some reason I assumed SAS was getting immediate cap relief and something beyond the 6. So to re-answer, no, they do not do this.

  • Celtic's only raise championship Banners
No because they are a contender and I do not think they would make that trade to blow up the team.

No to Kawhi, unless we flip him right away.

Whenever I hear that name, I have a visceral, sickening reaction.

He should have gotten a ring last year from the cHeat organization.

They wouldn't trade us Kawi for the 6th pick straight up let alone take on Wallace's contract even if we did pick up Splitter.
