Still pending League approval. Who wants bets that he tries to move them to Seattle and call them the Sonics  ;D.

He'll cost himself hundreds of millions of dollars if he does. He's spending $2 billion for an LA market team. You really think he moves them to a mid-market city?

The guy is worth 20 Billion Dollars. I have no idea how much he cares about spending. He may consider a few hundred million to be nothing more than a small pain the rear.

But if he wants to move the team he has the resources to do so. And he will probably be able to get the city to do so. And considering LA has two teams the league may be fine with it. I wonder though, did he also buy the Staple Center, because I am pretty sure that was owned by Sterling as well...

Seriously. But the attention was what Sterling loved about owning the Clips, and it's hard to put a price on that attention to a vain rich dude with everything he wants already.

Like this Ballmer guy. The Clippers probably aren't worth close to two billion, they don't even own an arena. But Ballmer will get lots of press and attention, and can be a hollywood celeb.

He's not moving the Clippers for at least seven years. Or nine. I forget their lease.
