Ballmer would probably like to move the Clippers to Seattle but u know there will be a clause in the contract that he cant move the Clippers from LA...I like to see the Clippers go back to San Diego  ;D

Im not entirely sure that there can be such a clause forbidding him to move the team. I think that is why he had to give verbal assurances that he would not move the team. But the owners of the Thunder did that when they bought the Sonics so that probably isn't worth anything.

If he moves the Clippers to Seattle and renames them the Sonics, he would be loved in his home town.  That might be worth more than the extra money he'd make in LA.

Different scenario. The Thunder ownership promised to make 'a good faith effort'  to keep the team in Seattle, but were able to move the team after they couldn't extort an arena deal from the city.

That, uh, wouldn't be a problem in LA.

Seems to me that a large portion of 'The American Way' was founded explicitly on racism and dirtbaggery.

If Ballmer wanted to move the team to Seattle, wouldn't he have just over paid for the Bucks and saved more than a billion dollars? Clippers are going no where.

Also I've read before that even though sterling didn't own Staples, he owned the land on which it was built, can anyone verify? Thanks

That's a ridiculous amount of $.  But Ballmer certainly has it and the NBA has to be licking their chops at a proposal that carries very little debt service.

One of the stipulations of the Bucks sale was that the team stayed in Milwaukee.

Yea, I mean, the country was founded by rejects from England who plundered and killed the natives and took their land, so it's basically in line with the American way.
