Only if Embiid slipped somehow due to medical concerns (and our team doctors said he'd still turn out ok).  I don't see any way Wiggins or Parker slips to #4.

Most likely though we trade for Love, and I'm cool with that.  But if Embiid is still there at 4, hell yeah, if that's all it takes to move up!

I think there's some great value at #17 this year; guys with potential to become solid long-term starters (Warren, Anderson, Hairston, McDaniels, etc.) and even a few high risk/reward guys that could become legitimate stars (Lavine, Porzingis, etc.).

I'd consider the trade only if it were for Exum or Embiid and only if Stevens and Ainge truly believe in them. Personally, I'm very high on Smart and Saric and pretty high on Gordon. I'm also high on Vonleh but I think his highest ceiling is at PF.

I'm generally of the opinion that the draft is a dice roll and that the only real way to increase your chances of drafting a star is by giving yourself some more rolls of the dice (drafting more guys). That being said, the Celtics have an ungodly amount of picks (probably more than they could possibly use straight up for team building purposes) and many should be traded.

In that sense, I really wouldn't mind seeing them use future picks to move up and grab their prime targets and/or move back into the draft. I would really like to see them move into the late first or early second for Isaiah Austin. I'd like them to begin the development of young stars now so they come into their own while Rondo is still playing at a high-level.

I agree with all this completely. There is some great depth in this draft, but I think the top 4 guys would be worth it.

From a pure value standpoint, I prefer any combination of Smart/Saric/Gordon/Vonleh and Warren/LaVine/Hairston/Porzingis/McDaniels/Anderson over Wiggins or Parker singularly.  Parker is deserving of his top-4 status, but I don't think his offensive upside is much higher than that of Saric and don't think his two-way upside is any higher than that of Smart, Vonleh, or Gordon.  Again, I'm not against moving up, I just want the Celtics to maximize the value of their assets and finish the first round with two solid new pieces.

Even if it was Rondo #6 and #17 Orlando isn't stupid enough to trade a cost controlled superstar for mediocrity. This draft is 4 deep in franchise players

This is Bull. Don't give into hype. Aaron Gordon, Julius Randle, Noah Vonleh, and even Marcus Smart have what it takes to be the best player of this class. All these kids are so young and are still developing their bodies and games.

The intensity of a Randle or Smart could easily bode well for them having better futures then Wiggins (who seems like he could be too passive to be superstar) or Parker (who also has plenty of questions - athleticism, defense, conditioning). Even Embiid with injury concerns.

Julius Randle is the same size as Chris Webber with a better handle. Aaron Gordon, imagine if he puts on 15-20 pounds of muscle. Imagine if Smart and Gordon really improve that shot... If Jason Kidd can do it at 35 then anyone can.

This draft is crazy deep and there isnt as much separating number 1 from 8 right now. It's all hype and speculation. In the end it will come down to environment, individual desire, and good fortune. All these guys in the top 8 have a chance.

There isnt much that separates Exum from Smart, Wiggins and Gordon, Randle and Parker, or Vonleh and Embiid presently.

Thank you. This is why Danny has been saying that the draft is deep but there is little difference between the top three and the rest of the top 8-10.

Rondo may not be a very hot commodity at this moment. Yes he may come back 100%; but he still has a suspect shot and he did not play any defense whatsoever last season so his lateral quickness may or may not be there.

He wasn't 100% physically last year but most players aren't right after they come back from knee surgery. Certainly we didn't see anything that would point to his not being able to get back to fully healthy though.

Right. Every guy in this draft has holes, and not a single one is can't miss.  A guy like Smart or Randle could easily be the best player out of this class.  Thats why I'm so sure the top 3 isn't set, and I could see a guy like Exum, or even Randle, creeping into the top 3 during individual workouts.  One of Parker or Embiid is going to fall to 4, or even 5.  I'm sure of it.  I put my money on Embiid as the guys who falls, health concerns aside.  Not only is the league getting smaller, but not a single high profile (to my recollection) college 7 footer has panned out in NBA since maybe Duncan.   (Davis is 6'10" and projected to be a PF).
