Very good chance both will be there at 6. If we keep the pick, who would you choose?

Some rather have smart but he should be a goner before 6 . Saric might stay in europe and vonleh is too raw. I like vonleh but his mediocre iq will prob disinterest ainge/stevens

you're right, I rather have Smart

but if I have to choose between Randle and Gordon, it's a toughie

Gordon is more athletic and a better defensive player. Randle is just a tank down low, but I am afraid his physique will limit him as he is undersized and we already have Sully.

Therefore I choose Gordon if it comes down between the two

I wish we had a hole at the PF spot because I could get excited about Randle, Vonleh, or Gordon.

Have to say Randle though in a vacuum.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
With their current roster, Utah either takes Smart or Gordon. I can't imagine the Cs taking Randle as the team is currently constructed and I also definitely like Gordon more. I understand that we need a go-to scorer, but I am not sure that exists at #6 - I would rather build up our team defensively and fill in the roster as needed.

Gordon, though I don't feel strongly either way.

I'm curious as to how good Randle's perimeter game is. Coming into college he supposedly had a great one for a PF, but they never used it in Kentucky.

Gordon. No brainer.  If he is not available, trade down a few spots and take Saric and pick up 2nd round pick and get Shabazz Napier if he slides.

Vonleh may work out as a 5, he measured pretty big at the combine, and may not be done growing.

Hole or no hole, though, you gotta go BPA here.

Really not sure it matters at this point.

Neither are core players at this point

Celtics are in deep doo doo

I be happy to use the 6 th pic in a trade to dump Wallace and Bass

Vonleh.  I'd take him at 5.

I'd take Gordon or Vonleh ahead of Randle.  I'd even take Saric, Smart, or McDermott ahead of Randle.  I don't think Randle will be better than Sullinger, let alone the other guys available in that range.

Vonleh is big enough to play C in the NBA even if he doesn't keep growing.  But considering his age and the length of his arms , it wouldn't be at all surprising if he grew another inch or two.

gordon is a tweener, everyone keeps on talking aboout his great athleticism but his wingspan is actually shorter than randle, and randle must have 30 pounds on him. i have vonleh ahead of both and randle ahead of gordon, i'll hate to get gordon,.

Yeah, I think Vonleh would be the "home run" pick I could certainly get behind.

I think he has the highest ceiling, but the lowest floor also.

I think Vonleh could play the 5, but I feel his more natural position is the PF. Similar to Al Horford.
