When the picks traded for Love I will be. Not to mention 6th is better than like 15 and a first round sweep...

Hey one of the anti-tankers is coming out of the woodwork. They would of stayed in their caves if we had jumped into the top 3.

There is honestly no argument for competing with a mediocre team and being an 8th seed. None.

And this is where it all comes down to. I was never too big for keeping this pick anyways. Proven players > might be players. Simple as that.

Make your best offer for Love, bring in Asik and then maybe hope something pops up for another star. If not, Rondo, Bradley, Green, Love, Asik is really good and we just move on from there.
Tommy Heinsohn:"Worst nightmare in the NBA is Rondo with a jump shot." B-)

You call that tanking?! Ainge kept Rondo and those freaking scrubs on the team. Should have finished the job like the Sixers did and he would be picking 2nd instead of 6th. Ainge should have left with Doc. Most overrated GM in the NBA period. I've been saying this since last year...fire the bum and get someone in here who will tank the right way. Cost the Celtics a superstar in the making because he wanted a semi competitive team.

Man, you have a lot of annoying posts about this tanking stuff. So what would be your plan of attack? Bring back KG & Pierce and get eliminated in the 2nd round? Sounds great, we'd have the 17th pick without the benefit of having the 6th pick. Sound strategy.

So what you and others wanted us to be left with one of the top 3 players and nothing else... smart...
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Did you watch KG and PP play wih the Nets this year? Too painful, KG is cooked, PP can't bring it every night.

Blatantly tank like the sixers? No way. I don't want a repeat of 1997 and 2007 again. We'd still get screwed even if we went 0-82 this year, and we'd all say we shouldnt have tanked so hard.

Peavey Bass Player - relearning to play after 10 years sucks;

I will ride along with that.

Put that and the other picks to good use already and trade it for Kevin Love, or Carmelo Anthony if he opts in.

I am.  We got a top pick in a draft filled with a good amount of talent in that range.  We missed out on the very best prospects, but that's always a crapshoot.

What we do have is a pick that could turn into a very useful piece moving forward, or that could be used in a package to get an established player.
