Vonleh, Gordon, Or Saric?

Saric has provided no assurance he will come over from europe. If he did, i wouldn't mind him as a celtic one bit.

I like Vonleh but his mediocre iq will be a turn off for Danny and Stevens.

So many polls on the same thing. Vonleh gets the tiniest edge over Gordon.

I am guessing Utah takes Randle.

If they keep the pick, take the BPA. Whether that ls Vonleh, Gordon, etc.

Personally, I'll say Vonleh. He's a local kid so I gotta root for him. It would make a great story if he ever panned out.

Saric and Gordon have both been the best player on a team that faced good competition, so I like both of them over Vonleh.  I know he has 9 ft reach, but the 6'8" center part kind of kills me.  I really think that both Saric and Gordon will be good players, although I slightly prefer Saric since he actually lead his team to a championship at 19 and also got the regular season MVP.  All that stuff about him staying in Europe is looking a little unfounded, too.

I'm with you. I'm very, very high on Saric. I think Vonleh will be a very good and possibly great PF in the NBA, but I think Saric will be an equally good or better SF/combo forward. Saric seems to be a winner- one of those guys that rises up to the moment. On top of that, he's an offensive matchup nightmare and nightly triple-double threat. Saric could easily end up being one of the 2-3 best players in this draft. I think Smart has similar intangibles and will be very good as well.

Actually everyone in his camp is saying he'll come over. That it's his dream. The sticking point is his father, who played with/against some of the best Euros to come over in the 90's, and he's convinced that developing for another year or two, to work on his shot, body , and low post game is the best course of action , based on the experiences of his former friends and teammates.

Well if he doesn't drop out in June and committs to come over than i can see him going as high as 5 to the jazz.

He is a complete player, a winner. Fiery competitor and now with a consistent jump shot just terrible to try to guard

Don't really like a lineup of Sully, KO, Saric though. The defense will suffer. But still you got to take the bpa and make a trade or something later

another potential clash will be between Saric and Rondo. Saric loves to bring up the ball when he wants to, or needs opportunities to be the faciliatator.   He would be a better fit in a lineup where you got a score first pg that needs help in the passing department

To me it's a toss up between Gordon and Saric.  Gordon's athleticism and defense really intrigue me. I think he will be a great energy guy. Saric's court savvy and take charge attitude really appeals to me.  I think Saric can be a go to scorer in the NBA, although I am not sure how much he can create off the dribble.  I'd be very happy with either of them at 6.

Prefer Vonleh, but would be pretty comfortable with Gordon, too.  I simply haven't seen Saric play, so I have no opinion on him.  I might be tempted to take McBuckets over him...

If Rondo isn't likely to sign an extension, I'd also consider Smart at #6. 

No matter what, I'd avoid a trade for Love.  Nice player, but not what we need to build around.  In a year or two, both Sully and Olly may be of comparable worth.  Save that cap space for a center or shooting guard down the road.

I like Smart more than any of these three.  He has legitimate point guard skills and could be an all-nba defender.  His stroke is pretty good; nothing wrong with it mechanically.  I think he's a bigger Kyle Lowry and hopefully he can improve his outside shot like Lowry has.

I'm warming to Gordon.  He's an outside shot away from being a player who makes the all-star team a few times.  His basketball IQ is excellent.

Vonleh's intrigue me because he showed legitimate small forward skills in high school.  I wouldn't be all that impressed with him if all I saw were his college games.  He's one of the youngest players in this class so he has that going for him.

Saric used be more of a small forward but I think he's much more of a power forward now.  I remember reading that he views himself as a power forward now too.  He's gotten a lot bigger overall and especially in the legs.  He looks like a power forward now.  I think he has more potential at power forward.  He doesn't project to be much of a defender at either position but importantly, he can handle the rebounding aspect of a big.  As a power forward, all his skills grade a level higher, giving him a higher ceiling at PF.

My Opinion is you Draft Vonleh with Pick #6, then trade Pick #17 and a player to Sacramento for Pick #8 and draft Saric.  You get a player that can help now (Vonleh) and a player that could be the best in the draft (Saric)

The reason you draft Vonleh is his shooting more than anything else, big guys that can't shoot in NBA clog up your offense and they better be a great rim protector on defense.

Saric is potential the best player in the draft, if there is anyway to trade up with Sacramento or someone else and get him that would be my plan.

I keep going back and forth between Gordon and saric.

Today I think saric because as others have mentioned he has a chance to be one of the best from this draft, the closest thing to a franchise player available at 6.

If we are keeping the pick we are not aiming at a instant rebuild so might as well take take a player who could be a cornerstone, his number 1 appeal to me is competitive spirit and "clime on my back boys" attitude that will make him, at worst a valuable role player.

We have so many picks in the next few years I'm willing to gamble this year.
By the time we know what he is (cornerstone, role player) we will be in great position to cash in chips for complimentary pieces or a big gun.

I'll change my vote tomorrow I'm sure.

I think there is too big of a risk that Saric never comes to the states to pick him 6th.  He's given very mixed messages, at best, about his desire to play in the US.  I like him most talent-wise, but what good is that talent in Europe?

I'd be happy with Saric if we traded down to between 8 and 12, picking up an extra pick in the process so that we don't get nothing if Saric/Saric's father decides it's best if he stays overseas.  Maybe Charlotte is interested in offering 9 and 25 to move to 6, for instance.

Otherwise, I prefer Vonleh.
