Lebron is king, we can't call a last minute foul on him.....

This is why you have to take the NBA with a grain of salt. The logo always gets what it wants, no matter how unfair.....

It has always been more about entertainment than competition. Do you ever wonder why the superstars are always the best defenders? Because they never foul anyone. They can hack all day and they don't get called for fouls largely because it is a star driven league and the league cannot allow its stars to be on the bench with foul trouble or to foul out of games. Because of this the stars naturally become 'great' defenders.

LeBron gets gifted two free throws because JJ put a hand on him, on the next play down LeBron mugs JJ and guess what, no call.

Its all about entertainment.

it's shameful of the nba to allow these officials to decide games.

i'm still waiting for my chance to buy a Joey Crawford jersey.

if I can find one positive about the celtics rebuilding this year, it's that I get a break from getting so worked up and angry about the league coddling lebron or just the playoff officiating in general.

I saw that no-call on LeBron ... terrible miss by the refs. Must be nice to be the anointed one, or to at least have him on your team.

I would say NBA=unicorns.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Yup. I don't know many sensible people over the age of 15 who still take the league seriously. If I'm this sickened by the league then I can only imagine what fans who got to witness real basketball in the 70's and 80's think of it now.

Just what constitutes a foul/flagrant/technical now a days blows my mind.

The NBA is like every crappy pop song on the radio. Everyone with taste knows it's bad but it's mainly there for morons who enjoy the flash and glamour of it. This makes LeBron James Justin Bieber and Dwyane Wade Katy Perry.

Yeah, I miss the playoff action, but I don't miss getting completely worked up and angry. The last time that happened was 2012 playoffs when Rondo "didn't" almost get his face pulled off by Wade.

Yup the NBA will always be considered this by everyone outside of huge NBA fans.

The last 2 nights in general have just been hilarious with these replays too.

Its really hard to defend it all. All i can say os that im a Celtics fan first and foremost. I dont like or enjoy the NBA but for some reason simce i was little ive been programmed to follow and love the Cs.

Watching an NBA game for an outsider however is truly like the wwf and lrobably is a reason why at least it feels like the majority of NBA fans are little kids. Theres a reason why the NBA has far more of a twitter, instagram presence or why dwight howard wins a xrappy slam dunk contest or why vince carter, tracy mcgrady etc make all star games when they have been injured for years

Even before the foul on Pierce, did anyone see the reach in foul Joe's drive before he blocked him?

http://on.nba.com/1jhsIby

He bumps Johnson on the crossover and Joe almost loses the ball and has to rush a shot after that. No one is allowed to play defense like James.

The games would be fairer if they just took out the refs.

the 2011 playoffs were worse, the refs had zero intention of letting the c's win against the heat.
watching the heat reminds me of the 90's bulls - good team greatly emboldened by the officials, they can afford to be much more aggressive because of the double-standard in officiating.
and as for their opponents, it's hard to keep your cool when you know it's 8-on-5.
