How about straight up Jeff Green for Webster and Drew Gooden?
Gooden could play some mins as a backup C while Webster is a good option of the bench... If the Wiz dont wanna include Webster then maybe Gooden and their first rdr this year...
Both situations seem highly unlikely but the Wiz dont have anything else to offer... Glad to see someone has some interest in Green tho...

I also think the Wiz could srsly use JG against the pacers these days as Ariza hasnt been too good on Paul George.. Hopefully this could convince the Wizards to put an irresistible offer for Jeff Green after they get bounced by Indy..

Wizards don't have a 1st Rounder this year. It was given up in the Gortat trade. I think they would only be interested in Green if they can't retain Ariza.

Two good points.

Green has to have some positive trade value, right?  I'd like to squeeze a #1 out of him.

I am trying stuff on the trade machine, but maybe Green and Bogans for Webster, Porter Jr and Seraphin?  All of those guys are garbage, though.  If they threw in a 1st and two 2nds, it's not the worst and would save us a few million in the mean time.

Id be asking for Otto Porter at a minimum.

It's a bit early to call the rookie #3 pick Porter garbage dont you think???  Yeah he didnt really show at all his first year, but he didnt play at all the first 1/3 of the season bc of a hip problem and when he came back he was never worked into the rotation or given any kind of consistent minutes b/c the team was in win now mode.

Still Jeff Green for just Otto Porter doesnt interest me... Its a start but it would need more to get my attention..

Is this true? I figure they probably want to bring Ariza back, as long as they can afford him.

Yeah theres a risk that Porter could bust, but realistically what team out there that has a younger future fringe star thats starting to make strides is going to trade said player for Jeff Green??

The reason the wizards would want to trade for a Jeff Green is that Porter gave them no showing his rookie year to prove to them he'll be the good NBA player he was predicted to be.  Doesnt mean he won't, but if youre Danny you make them throw in a future lotto protected first, so that way you get something else and you still get to shed Jeff salary

Absolutely wouldnt mind that deal if we can get them to throw a top-10 protected 2015 1st rdr along with Otto Porter... He mustve shown something special in college to get selected 3rd overall cuz the Wiz management arent stupid and know who to draft (ariza, wall, beal, etc)

I would think they could easily fit both Ariza and Green in the rotation.  I mean you are talking about a team that started Trevor Booker and Martell Webster a combined 58 games.  I would think Jeff Green makes more sense to start than either of those guys and could see giving him 35 minutes at the 3 and 4 (and maybe a bit at the 2 if they want to go big).

As for a trade, I just don't see any team giving up a whole lot of value for Jeff Green and they have no expiring contracts except for Andre Miller to trade, so I don't see any real way to get that done unless they are willing to give up on Otto Porter and then include Miller, which I just don't see as happening.

EDIT:  If the Wiz would trade Miller and Porter for Green, I think it might make some sense, especially if Boston can find a third team to take Miller and get something different back (maybe Miller & Bogans to NY, Green to Wash, and Porter and Bargnani to Boston - or something like that).
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation -
Deep Bench -

Yes, provided Gortat accepts a new deal whose base year is a trade match for Green's salary.
