I have a trade idea that might be interesting for all of the teams involved.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=k76ryw5

Why Celtics
First of all we only lose Bass, as the other players really don't have a future as a celtic.

Second of all both Lopez and Thornton are lottery tickets but both with a price. Nobody knows if Lopez will ever return to full strength after his injuries, but it's worth giving it a shot. Letting him get back in shape slowly, like we have done with Rondo, might result in him getting in back to his old level.

Thornton hasn't played really well this season but he's got the potential to be a great SG next to Rondo and who knows what is going to happen with Bradley.

Why Nets
The Nets don't have time for a rebuild. They won't give Lopez the time to recover, and they may find him to expensive.
KG is not getting any younger, and to be honest 2013-2014 is not his best season. Therefore they desperately need a center and the obvious choice must be Asik.
Besides that they will have a fantastic backcourt if they add Lin.

Why Rockets
Asik looks like a player with no future in Houston, and Lin hasn't been a great succes either.
If they do this trade they will get a great pf in Bass, and they will get great assets in Wallace and Bogans who both might shine if they get some more playing time, which they might get in Houston.

We might need to send a pick to Houston.

That was just an idea!

talk about lopsided in favor of the C's.

essentially Bass, Wallace, Bogans and Anthony for Brook Lopez and Marcus Thornton.

The Net and especially Houston wouldn't just hang up on Danny, they'd go to his house and beat the tar out of him for even suggesting a deal like that.

Sorry, the Celtics get two players they want and they shed three players that don't factor into their future. As I have said in other trade proposal discussions, there is no painless way to move Wallace. The kind of trade that you can make is Wallace and our own 2014 1st round pick for an expiring contract. Nobody wants Wallace unless they are generously rewarded for taking him and I'm not giving up our pick just to move salary. Just ride out the Wallace contract until the 21015-2016 when he becomes a somewhat valuable expiring contract that could be combined with draft picks and young players to get a star player.

that's the first time I've ever heard someone refer to Gerald Wallace as an "asset"...
