I say 12 million a year. He really had a big year.

Will NYK overpay (15 million a year) to get him? What other teams will target him?

Is he  going to give the Raptors a discount to stay?

Anywhere between 11-14 million a year seems reasonable. As you said he had a huge year, and I wouldn't put it past NY to spend big money to get him.

$12 million sounds about right.  He should get more money than Ty Lawson.

imo both are pretty even. Lawson can be fantastic when healthy.

Lowry and Bledsoe are two of the biggest FA pgs available this summer.  Prob Rondo after that (trade).

I can't see Toronto overpaying for Lowry at 15 million a year . Lowry and his agent will prob use Dwill and his contract for leverage.  Bledsoe will likely get a huge pay increase at 10-11 million a year (Jeff Teague like production/money) and not sure from there if PHX will match.

This is going to be a pretty interesting offseason and of course incredible draft day drama

Lowry's a pretty big risk. He just finished his 8th year and not only was this year well above anything he's done before, but he's on his 3rd team for a reason, in fact Toronto was reportedly shopping him before the deadline.

If Lowry's worth ~12 mil, I don't know how anybody can justify that Bradley is worth ~7-8.  Lowry has proven himself to be leaps and bounds worth more than Bradley.

8 million with short years.

This is a a guy who had a career year looking for a new contract.  A guy who has problems with coaches and in the locker room.

Is this any different then Raymond Felton with the Knicks in 2010-2011?  He averaged 17 and 9.  He ended up being part of the Melo trade.

Didn't they only start getting good in the second half of the season?

Had they known they would have a somewhat competitive playoff run, wouldn't they have been less aggressive shopping Lowry?

Firstly, the Knicks are morons.

Also, Felton got fat and really fell off. Don't know if Lowry will.

Possibly. If so, it probably would have been one of the few seasons when he wasn't on the market.

Agreed on $12mil, although I would never want him on my team. He is known to be great in contract years then fade away until his next contract.

Biggest flopper and complainer in the league, and it's not even close with CP3/Griffin.

Why are people saying the Knicks will get him? Did they suddenly get cap space I don't know about? They don't have good enough assets to pull off a sign and trade either.

Fell of to what he was before.  He is just an easy to compare example.  There are a ton of contract year contract stars.  Mark Blount anyone?8

Mostly what changed about Lowry this season was that he played full minutes for almost an entire regular season, and he took more shots.

Otherwise his numbers per 36 were similar.  He's been a valuable player for a long time now.  His WS/48 for his career are .136.  He's been at or near his current level since 2010-2011, he's just needed to find a stable situation.

One thing to note is that Lowry was actually a Knick for about an hour in a trade that was vetoed by Dolan. Apparently Dolan thought that Ujuri was going to "trade rape" him again after the Melo Trade. I don't think the Knicks go after him now unless Phil believes that Lowry can operate in the triangle offense.

"trade rape"

Let's do our best to avoid such terminology, please.
