This.

They're usually pretty awful outside the obvious top-5 or so.

Draft Net had Napier in the lottery (#12 I believe) as of yesterday. However, since then they moved  him down to #18.

Yeah nbadraft.net is really bad. I think they had Kyle Anderson top 5 or so a few weeks ago

their draft order seems way off, but their analyses are succinct.

John Givoni of draft express has noticed this as well. I heard him mention in a podcast that he and DX. have all of the Euro prospects rated higher than most sites. He is really high on Nurkic in particular compared to most.

Hey if Jusuf can be 80% of Pekovic on offense with maybe a bit more rim protection thats worth the 11th pick in any draft.

Their draft order has always been pretty off...

but man do I love clicking on the players individual profile and seeing those comparisons. That's good stuff, I base my entire selection based on those comparisons.

Part of the problem with Euro picks is they tend to go lower than their skill level, for fear of them never coming stateside.  So when you're mocking a draft, do you put them where you rate them, or do you drop them a bit for where they might fall to.  I do think #34 is unrealistically low, but down to about #25 is believable for me.  With a very strong pool of American players, do you want to roam your pick in someone who never sets foot in the country?  Or isn't over for two years, in the meantime during which you lose your job?  I suspect he'll go in the #12 to 20 range, beginning with the Magic's second pick.

Don't forget such gems as Kyle Anderson at #9, James Young at #11 and Bogdan Bogdanovich at #54.  They are all over the place

Chad Ford doesn't have Nurkic in his top 20 (I don't have insider so I don't know where he has him).

Mannix from cnnsi has him at 15.

CBS has 3 "experts" Nurkic is 23, 29, and 30 on their mocks.

Seems to me there is a lot of variations in where he is at.

Draftexpress, has a much greater focus on international scouting. I wouldnt be suprised if they tend to "first report" on these guys and other sites shy away from high rankings to avoid looking like followers. As the draft gets closer and teams work out players most mocks will have their player tiers fall into place.
