I figured the Clips pick next year would be a valuable one mostly because I figured 1) Doc would be exposed as overrated by his second season.2) CP3 and/or Blake would be due to miss significant games due to injury.I had no idea that if the Clips do tumble as I expect next season, it'll be due to the stupidity of its owner. I thought hiring Doc and giving away a 1st for him was about as foolish as he could have been. I was apparently wrong. At this point, C's should hang on to that pick as an asset as valuable as the unprotected Nets picks in 2016 and 2018 and that ability to swap in 2017. Clips may not implode next year but no way to know until next season runs its course. I would have to think this would impact their ability to draw FAs and possibly retain their current talent.
