Jordan has always been a super athletic player who dazzled with his dunking ability, and put up pretty good numbers while he was on the floor.
But this year he appears to be on another level. His rebounding and defensive help intimidation around the basket are at an elite level this year. He is absolutely killing it against the Warriors in the playoffs. I have yet to see how he does defending an all star center this year, and hope to do so.
Chris Paul and Blake Griffin are MVP calibur players, yet it is amazing to see how different the team defense is when Jordan is in the game or not. He might be even more valuable than Chris Paul on that team. Part of that last statement speaks to the Clippers' lack of a good back up at the 5, admittedly.
He is due for a big pay raise a year from now. How much will the Clippers be willing to pony up? Perhaps he is another great summer of 2015 free agent target for the Celtics. I wouldn't have said that 2 years ago.
