No offense to the OP of that thread. And it's true, finger pointing with generalities is, for lack of a better word, dumb.

But PC'ness about tankers, along with my perception of the dynamic between tankers and non-tankers, makes it pretty funny.

TP+.  I wanted a loss too, but to expect us to lose every game is pretty silly.  We have to put 5 NBA players on the court, and occasionally those guys are gonna get in sync and win a game or 2.

All I wanted this season was a Top 8 pick.

Seems our most likely scenario will be #6 in the tank rank.  I'm fine with it.  Whatever.  I just wanted to avoid a pick 9-15 disaster.

Sure, it'd be great to land Embiid, Wiggins or Parker, but it's not in the cards.  We have 3 more games and the Lakers/Jazz are not fielding even mildly competitive teams right now.  Hopefully we don't get super unlucky in the lotto... even with the 6th odds, you can theoretically fall the way to #9.

We'll end up with someone like Marcus Smart or Aaron Gordon.   Should be a nice chip.

Jazz and lakers play once more this year.

Hopefully we get some lottery luck. We could be in a three way tie with La and Utah for fourth best odds.

That last game for Orlando against Indiana could be a win for the magic. Pacers will likely be sitting everyone.

So who knows how the Ping pong balls bounce.

I gotta say, I've gone just about the whole season enjoying both the wins and the losses, but once we got to the 3rd worst record with like 5 games left, my mindset totally flipped to draft position. Today was tough. I'm proud of the players, but I just can't ignore the bigger picture.  I want a top 3 pick so bad I can taste it and the closeness between us, the magic, the lakers, and Utah is scary.

Haven't been this upset and angry over a celtics game in a while. What a waste. Brad Stevens, Phil Pressey and Al Jefferson's putrid defense just flushed so many chances and possibilities down the toilet for us. Hope the "let's build a winning mindset" folk are happy. Personally I think that's a nonsense philosophy, but what can ya do?

I agree 110% with the OP, what do ppl want, wiggins or embiid on the lakers, that's just stupid, everyone tanks, the fakers are sittting kobe and anyone who can run, the spurs sat robinson to get duncan, we should be sitting avery, rondo, sully and green plus kelly, pressley, babb and joel should be getting 40+ minutes per game. Can't believe the stupidity.

Btw avery, sully and rondo are hurt, they are risking the future of the franchise just for some stupid moral victories

But the Celtics are worse than the Lakers. There's a good chance that the Celtics will have a higher pick than the Lakers.
