with 2 Sixers topics listed under the "Latest Forum Topics", figured i might as well add one more lol

Assumptions:
1. Sixers land #2 and #13 (NOP pick)
2. C's land #6 and #18 (Nets pick)
3. The Sixers want to do a "quick" rebuild and are looking to cash in most of their assets right now.

If they offered us something along the lines of MCW+#2 for Rondo+#6, would you do it?
How about MCW+#2+JRich(expiring) for Rondo+#6+Wallace (2 yrs left)?

We'll likely end up with a starting line up of:
MCW
Wiggins
Green
Sully
TBD

Actually if they draft Embiid I would look into trading our top pick for Noel.  Haven't seen him play much but could possibly be our defensive center anchor for the future.

I'd rather keep Rondo and especially not trade him within the division.  But let's say we do it would be better to include a third team in a deal that is more ready to win now, with MCW coming here.

We end up with 2 Mass kids on our team. :P

They won't do this, lol. I would in a heartbeat.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

Honestly, I think the 76ers are doing the exact opposite of a quick rebuild.  No way they go for the "win now" trades.

Agreed, they are incentivized to stay in the lottery next year, otherwise the forfeit the first round pick to us.  Correct?

That's correct, but I doubt that draft pick is too much on their minds.  They'll have too much youth next year, Noels, MCW, the 2 2014 picks, so getting in the lottery next year (esp if it's late lottery) probably isn't that important to them. I think they'll try to be as good as they can next year -- which will still likely be in the lottery.                                                                                              .

I think it's entirely possible that PHI values MCW equal to or even higher than Rondo right now.

Probably, yeah. For the chance to get Embiid or Wiggins. Assuming Embiid's back checked out.

However, I cannot imagine Philly having any interest in a trade like this. They are set up for a long term rebuilding process. Not a quick turnaround. A player like Rondo does not much value to them. Too far away from winning. They have a long term plan in place and I can't see them giving up on it for a player like Rondo. MCW + #2 pick are a lot more valuable to them.

A team like the LA Lakers who want to build a quick winner before Kobe's career runs out - now, there's a team that would consider giving up their lottery pick to add Rondo. Especially if Boston took back Nash's contract and let LAL keep enough cap space to add a third star on a max contract in the summer.

MCW started out remarkably well, but has regressed to the norm and now has a 14.6 efficiency rating.  KO has a 14.0.

I think that Philly KNOWS that MCW is NO Rajon Rondo!!!!!!!!

I am very intrigued with seeing what they might want for Noel.  Great idea by someone in this thread.

I've been a fan of LA to Rondo for a while now.  I think if LA strikes out on some of the bigger FAs this summer they are gonna get desperate, and we could possibly get great value from them in a Rondo deal.

I would put the pressure on LA though to make the deal on draft night for their lottery pick, or else no deal at all. No waiting to see how they do in the FA market.

Oh it would def have to be a draft day trade.  For LA's lotto pick to be involved I think that would be the only way to do it.  But I think by draft day we will know what the free agent market will look like.  Hopefully a lot of the guys resign with their own teams while others decide not to opt out and wait for what is supposed to be a more lucrative 2015 off-season.

If our pick falls in between 4 and 7.
I would look into trading that pick for Nerlens Noel.

He could be an Anthony Davis type of player, or at  the very least a skinnier version of Tyson Chandler.
We need a rim protector. And that's what he does best.

I would keep our mid to late first round pick to grab Nik Stauskas or any other catch and shoot players.
Or maybe Aaron Gordon if he falls that far.

Rondo
Bradley
Green
Sullinger
Noel

Would be a decent line starting line up.

If they drafted Embiid, they would probably keep both Embiid and Noel and wait to evaluate both of them on an NBA floor before deciding if they want to flip one of them for other players.
