Ugly battle to come in April

I just looked over the current standing and projected thru April to the end of the regulate season.

It is going to be a terrible fight for the 4th lottery spot.

The Bucks 76ers and Magic are pretty safe in the 1-3 spots unless the magic suprise people and go on a big run.

Detriot is 3 games up on boston and has 1 game vs the bucks and 1 vs 76ers. This will likly keep them out of 4th pick contention.


That leaves the Celtics, Lakers, Jazz and Kings to fill the 4-7 spots in the lottery.

Cs have 2 games vs the 76ers and have been playing decent. I predict 4 more wins

Jazz their young players are tring to win but have a tough schedule. They have 1 game vs lakers. I predict 2 wins

Lakers have one game vs bucks. I predict 2 wins

Kings have one game vs the lakers. I predict 2 wins

This would leave the Cs tied at the 6th pick

4th Utah @ 25 wins
5th Lakers @ 26 wins
6th Celtics @ 27 wins
6th Kings @ 27wins 

I hate to have to hope for losses but at this point Im hoping the Cs just get the two wins against Phili and if anything 1 vs the nets. That would hopefully create a tie at 5th not 6th. Then it create the strange circumstance where celtics nation is routing for the Lakers to win.

Yea I was thinking the same.. March has been beneficial for a tank with only 3 wins in the entire month however Philly, Utah, Orlando, and Mil keep losing even more efficiently.. Rondo and Bradley are playing very well and the young guys like Sully and Olynck are stepping up..

Heres my point of view lets not focus on position because it means nothing until the lottery balls fall.. This team has some nice young players that can either contribute or be used as a trade asset.. Even if the Celtics got one of the top 3 players they are not going to be considerably better next season, they need to make some moves..

I think it would be really funny to have the Sixers pass the Bucks for worst record only to have the ping pong balls skip the worst record completely for the top 3 slots.  that would be justice

The win doesnt matter for the Sixers so if we can by some miracle have them beat us once it'd be huge

Exactly why I want the Celtics to be in that 4-6 range going into the lottery...just too much bad luck with top 3

Since I made the original post of 3/7

Cs have lost 5 games in a row including a big game last night vs 76ers. Predicted wins rest of season 2.

Jazz , have 1 win 4 loses they still have a game against the lakers coming up. I predict 1 more win this season.

Lakers have 1 win 5 loses I predict 0 wins rest of the year

Kings have 2 wins 3 lose I predict 1 more win this season.

If my predictions hold this would leave the bottom of the lottery at

1. Bucks
2. 76ers
3. Magic
4. Celtics 25 wins
4. Utah 25wins
4. Lakers 25wins
5. Kings 28wins

Cs need the Lakers and Utah to get some end of the season garbage wins while teams rest their vets to prep for playoffs.

Also for what its worth the Nets are sitting at #18. If they rest some of their older player they could easily fall to #17. If they stay at #18 they would play the Bulls in the first round, drop to #17 and they get the Raptors. I predict they drop to #17 for the easier 1st round match-up.
