This team, with a few simple moves, could be a title contender next season.

1. Trade Humphries' expiring and our 17th pick this year for Asik.
2. Draft an impact player in this year's draft.
3. Sign Carmelo as a free agent - I'm not a "huge" fan - but he's a top line scorer that we need and he and Sully would be a load on the boards. Asik, and Sullinger for that matter,  will help cover his defensive weaknesses.
4. Have a full year of Rondo being healthy
5. Resign Bradley for the "right" money.

Asik / Faverani / Iverson
Sullinger / Olynyk  / Bass
Melo / Aaron Gordon / Crash
Bradley / Mid level off guard / Chris Johnson OR Chris Babb
Rondo / Bayless / Pressey

Rondo, Melo and Asik are your large contracts.

Bayless and Bradley should be "reasonable contracts".

Faverani, Iverson, Gordon, Sully, Olynyk, Johnson, Babb, Smart and Pressey are all cheap contracts.

You can try to trade Green for an expiring and a first round pick this year, somewhere in the 15-20 range. Given he only has a year or two on his contract, that should be fairly easy to do. I actually like Green but we absolutely need a "go to guy" on this team. Green's to inconsistent to play that role. Tray to draft a project center or a good back up point guard with some size to pair with Rondo

Buy out or extend Crash
Bass' comes off the books at the end of the year.

Make a choice on Johnson or Babb - keep one - sign a solid veteran off guard with your mid level.

Numbers 1 and 3 don't work under the CBA. Well unless you think Melo will sign for the MLE or otherwise small money.
