I've just been thinking on this for no reason in particular, but say Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving and Andre Drummond had all stayed in college and declared for the 2014 NBA draft.

where do you think these guys would be drafted among the current young studs?

Davis for me would have to go first, but after that it's a bit of a tossup.
Kentucky would be terrifying!

what do you guys think?

Davis, Drummond and Irving would be the top three in that order. A twenty-something stud is a lot easier to pick than an eighteen or nineteen year old just out of high school.

The only concern they might have is them being so adjusted to the college game and lack of top competition as they developed. Not too big obviously.

What I find interesting is that say hypothetically Davis and Drummond stay one more year in college and come out in 2013 instead of 2012.... This puts Davis on the Cavs alongside Irving and Drummond most likely with Orlando or Washington at 2 or 3.

Davis/Irving

and Wall/Beal/Drummond

Would be some interesting pairings to compete in the East.

Davis definitely goes 1.  Drummond and Irving are a bit trickier because they have a lot of non-basketball things working against them.  Irving is hurt a lot and Drummond has a lot of maturity issues.  Now maybe they get those worked out and are the clear 2 and 3 picks, but maybe they don't.  I'd much rather take a flyer on a younger still talented player than an older talented player with a lot more problems.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Is Kyrie still chronically injured in this scenario? If so, I think the top 5 is Davis, Drummond, Parker, Wiggins, Irving
