What are your feelings on this guy? Would you trade him for better pieces or keep him as our starting SF/backup SF of the future considering who we get in the Draft? I dont have very high expectations for him anymore so now I'm starting to appreciate the player he is and would like to keep him here.

If we can [somehow] acquire a transcendent center or sg, I think we need to keep Green. He is behind Rondo and possibly Sullinger on our team rankings, but is ahead of Bradley and whoever our center is. Since AB is asking for around the same amount as Green, I don't see us moving him unless we select Wiggins or Parker in the draft which [at this point] doesn't see extremely likely. However, even then I would consider moving Green to sg. I like his game as a 3rd/4th option and he is the only guy on our current team who has proven he can have big scoring games. He is just an overall good starter - you don't just get rid of players like him.

what is the problem -this guy is good /very good and some nights great- we are not going to draft anybody that can score and defend like he can -also keep Humphries he seems settling and consistent-

I can only see moving Green IF we end up with Parker.

It is very hard to find as effective a scorer at the 3 to replace him with via trade (barring some major move like a Melo deal).

If we get Wiggins, I would slot him in at the 2 and run with a Rondo-Wiggins-Green perimeter for the next few years and be very happy.

A lot of decisions will spawn out of how those lottery balls bounce.

I still want to see him traded for value and cap savings.

I don't want him just dumped.

I still think his contract is too much for what he brings to a rebuilding team.

His offensive inconsisency (i.e., occasional offensive lethargy) means that you can't trust him in a specific offensive role night in and night out.  It's clear he can't carry a team on a regular basis.  However, his 'D' is petty consistent and he does have those occasional amazing nights on the offensive end.
He's been more active on offense more consistenly recently, but this always seems to be 'fools gold' with him -- it doesn't last.  If we get a guy who can provide consistent offense (like PP for example), then reliance on Green is less important and he can be a very good defender who can bring it offensively from time to time.  That type of player has positive value and is a plus for this team.  But if I were Danny, I'd play aloof about trading him and hope that a team that lusts for the 'good Jeff' is willing to offer a hard-to-refuse trade for him.  If it happens, grab it; if it doesn't, he's still a good player who will win you a game 10 times a year -- and perhaps (in a great world) once per playoff series (which is all you can hope for).  But he needs to be a 4th (at most 3rd) option on the offensive side -- except on 'good Jeff' days.

I'm hoping some GM out there -- presumably somebody not too concerned with advanced analytics -- is enamored of Green's game and will make some kind of reasonable offer for him.  Otherwise I think we're stuck with him until his contract is up.

Green is far from a useless player.  There are teams out there that he would improve, perhaps significantly, by slotting into the starting lineup at the 3, or perhaps at the 4 in the right situation.  He just doesn't do nearly enough when he's not scoring for a team like ours that has a lot of deficiencies that need to be shored up.
