I'm assuming a some type of assets we probably won't want to give up. (First rounder maybe KO) tell me what you guys think it would take to get ride of him and what is your idea to do it?
"Maybe there is hope for us afterall

I post a lot of stuff on my phone autocorrect sucks.

What it would take is waiting until 2015 when his contract is valuable. One of the picks Brooklyn gave is was to compensate us for eating Wallace's contract.

The question you should be asking is what would we gain if we get rid of Wallace now.

To get rid of him now, at least one unprotected first-round, probably two.

The only other way to get rid of him would be if he had to retire for medical reasons.

We'd either have to (1) take back other bad contracts or (2) package him with Rondo or a 1st round pick.

What you'd need is a team with lots of cap space who wants draft picks and isn't looking to bring in free agents next year. I think the 76ers would take him if we gave them another first round pick. Their target is to put a team full of young phenoms on the floor next year and then compete in 2015-2016.

Just keep him! We will probably be tanking again next year and he helps the cause.

I have said this before, Wallace will be moved when the Celtics want to make a trade for an established star while giving up picks and young players and need to fill out the salaries.  Say, and I am not advocating this trade, Sully and their first rounder for Kevin Love.  Have to match salaries, insert Wallace.

exactly.

have yet to see a reason why we need to trade him before he becomes an expiring deal in another year.

C's won't be ready to really start pushing for improvement for at least one more year.  having Wallace doesn't damage our cap (we're not signing any FAs of importance nor does he block us from resigning anyone we already have and may want to keep).

just ride out the deal and maybe he can be moved as just an expiring deal or as salary filler in a deal for someone very good --> similar to what we did in the KG deal.  big expiring contract filler to balance the salaries.

foolish to jettison a player just for the sake of getting rid of him while costing assets.

There is really no hurry at the moment to unload Wallace.

Wait it out, trade him or let him expire right about the time our youth develops into championship material.  No rush.

he's a good bench player to have around who plays hard
BUT he could be used in a deal to make salaries work or let him become expiring
i would in no way give up a pick to move him (unless another deal was in place, free agent signing etc)

Just don't play him. Especially in the starting lineup.

Everybody on the forum drop $20 in the mailbox at 3rd and Simpson street in Boston and I know a guy who will take care of the rest.   ;)

Exactly.  Especially since the only reason we got him was to acquire said assets.
