I would be very happy with him, from what I've seen.  Has great size for a PG and looks to have an all around skill set and knack for getting to the rim.  Looks like he could legit take a SG role alongside Rondo and provide passing still from that position.

I know there's the "competition" question but I think that can be a little overrated.  Especially if you see them step up in play against top competition (which Exum has done so far).

This guy is so young and he looks like he could be Penny esque.  I think by the time all the pre draft business is done, he's a top 5 pick.  I'm starting to become happy with this draft out to like the 7th pick, but if it was me just right now, I feel like I'd want Exum 4th if we were there.  Like I said, I think he could play SG (or PG, depending on how things go with Rondo).

For me right now, these are my order and the players I'll be happy if we get:

1. Embiid 2. Wiggins 3. Parker 4. Exum 5. Randle 6. Gordon 7. Vonleh

We also heard Danny "loved" Giannis Antentokoumpo.  Didn't end up taking him though.

Perhaps Danny will learn from his massive mistake.

Danny Ainge throwing smoke grenades?

He "liked" other players before and did not pick them. This is just Danny playing Game of Thrones.

Just about every year, there is a top 4 player that ends up performing tremendously worse than people expected or simply is a bust. Even in the Lebron draft there was a top 4 bust, Darko. It happens just about every year regardless of the overall quality of the draft.

So for those that think the top 4 this year is Embiid, Parker, Wiggins, Exxum, who is this year's top 4 bust? There is almost a guarantee it happens. So who is it?

The fact that Exxum has so little film on him and has an agent that doesn't want his client working out too much, I gotta think GMs that will have a top 4 pick might be scared off by that fact given they also know that a top 4 player is bound to bust.

Rondo sending mixed signals. She doesn't think he knows yet if he wants to stay.

This scares me

But yea, I would take Parker 1st as well, Embiid 2nd

I have no fact to back this opinion, but I believe Rondo will want out by this summer. Hopefully he plays well the rest of the year and re-establishes his trade value. I love the guy, but if he wants to go he wants to go....

It would be hard for me to pass on Embiid with the number one pick. Probably more of a gamble than Parker but i think he's worth it.

Embiid is who I think is most likely to bust.  He hasn't played that long, and bigs always take a little longer to develop.  Guys his size seem more prone to injury to me too (don't explicitly know that, but back, leg, and foot problems seem to be the cost of doing business with 7-footers.)

Mind you, he's still #2 on my board, and if he busts, his pick wasn't a mistake.  It just didn't work.  It annoys me to no end when people call busted picks mistakes.  There is a lot of uncertainty with projecting 18-20 year-olds skill progression over the next 5-10 years.  A bad outcome is not necessarily indicative of bad decision-making.  It's part of the inherent risk.  (Note: I'm not saying that no busts are the result of bad picks -- certainly some are.  But I don't like the reflexive reaction of fans and media when players don't work out.)

I wonder how much of the Embiid fear is due to guys like Greg Oden?
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

If Wiggins is a better Jeff Green, that's not a bust.  Jeff Green is a sometimes spectacular small forward.  He's not the best thing ever, and can't quite carry a team, but he's a viable NBA starter at one of the deepest positions.  If the bust of the top 4 winds up being a better Jeff Green, then the top 4 will have completely lived up to its billing.

Exum is most likely pick with the 4  5. 6 .....where I predict the Celtics to fall...unless he goes 3rd

Embiid and Parker .....are 1 and 2....or reverse..... We ain't getting them .......slim to no chance

So.....I think we ll get either Exum ,  Randle ,  Smart  , or Wiggins

Exum is my first choice  .......NBA  ready to contribute very soon I believe

Randle .......NBA ready to get 10 and 10 his first game  on a poor team like Celtics

Or DA trades his pick for Love,

Still like Hood  from Duke ....ice in his veins,

Last year the big rumor on a foreign player was Ainge loved Adetekumbo and that the C's were the team most scouting him.

Ainge traded up and took Olynyk.

So I guess we have to take these reports with a grain of salt.

I would say Parker, because he is the least athletic of the 4, and may struggle in the NBA as a result. Most will probably say Wiggins.

Big guard. Pogo stick body. Can't shoot. Will be a tough fit with Rondo.

Agreed. Rondo needs a lights out shooter at the 2, to make up for his deficiency.  Would like to see us snatch up a really good shooting guard, like Gary Harris.
