is toine still available?
I honestly expected to see a link to The Onion, but this is apparently serious. Good grief.

Also, when your chief concern is how the proposed measure will affect courtside seats, you're doing it wrong.  ::)

Glad that they are still spitballing ideas. It's not like there was always a three-point shot, y'know.

I'd love to see them widen the court a couple of feet.  You shouldn't have to be on your tippytoes to shoot a few inches behind the corner 3 without going out of bounds.

The 4-pt shot idea is silly of course.  The common-sense solution has been in front of us for decades - the 25 foot high, 25 point Rock'n'Jock basket.

What's next, ditch the overtime and decide ties with a game of H-O-R-S-E?

I'd trade a pair of TV timeouts for that.

Why stop there? Might as well go for the ultimate absurdity: five balls on the court at once, coach has to play, all arena seats face the exits, Final Destination.

I personally don't see one oddball idea causing an infinite spiral of nonsense changes, but there's no way to know. We'll know how serious they are if it makes it to the D-league, which is where they seem to be testing things out.

Didn't people frown on the idea of a 3-point line when it was first suggested back in the day? I think it could work if done correctly. Just hope they don't add trampolines or anything.

No need to expand the size of the court... just add a 20ft hoop above the 10ft hoop... that's what they did in "Rock N' Jock"

Skip to the 2:45 mark to see Dean Caine and Gary Payton draining 25 point shots.

Why not? I mean, hey, if you nail a half-court or three-quarter-court shot to beat the buzzer, that deserves more value than a 25-foot shot.
