I don't think Danny is stupid enough to trade Rondo for scrubs and pieces. It's exactly what some people say. 2 unprotected First rounders and a young potential all-star. That or no deal.
Danny got the offer from sac. I think sac will revise the offer and take out an extra 1st or ask for AB also. I have a feeling they will try to make this happen. The trade for gay and williams cant be for nothing
You think we're going to give them more? That aint happening. Pretty funny.
Gay and Williams weren't for nothing: they play for the Kings now.
EDIT: Wait you're saying Sac trades three first round picks?
Sac got williams and especially gay to make the playoffs this year.
Roy already said it in another thread, the Kings don't have a first rounder to offer unless its in 2019 and 2020. I don't think Danny wants those picks, he wants immediate picks. And if we also throw in Bradley, then the Kings are asking too much in which case Danny should hang up the phone unless it involves Cousins (in which they won't trade)
Maybe Roy can explain this to me but I don't believe this is accurate.
"Sacramento trades a 2012 first round pick (lottery protected in 2012, top 13 protected in 2013, top 12 protected in 2014, top 10 protected from 2015-2017) to Cleveland as part of the JJ Hickson/Omri Casspi trade. If pick is not conveyed by 2016, Sacramento trades a 2017 second round pick (56-60 protected) to Cleveland. This pick was conveyed to Chicago as part of the Luol Deng/Andrew Bynum trade."

http://www.draftexpress.comTo me that reads that they could trade their 2017 draft pick because the pick they owe will become a second round pick by then.
Regardless, this trade makes pretty much no sense right now. If the Kings trade for Rondo now they still will not make the playoffs, thereby decreasing a big asset they have in a top notch draft pick. If they just waited until the offseason they could use the (draft pick that has become tradable at this point) to get Rondo and probably have to give up less since the draft pick increased in value. The only part that would hurt is Isaiah Thomas will be restricted free agent at that point and thus unable to trade (at least at the draft). If Sacramento got a top five pick, combined that with McLemore and another protected pick in 2017 I would jump at that in the offseason.
