I say:

Vonleh
Randle
Gary Harris
Aaron Gordon
Dario Saric

Then ugh.  You basically have to draft Randle 6th because he really is the best prospect at that point, as unattractive as it is to have another t-rex armed undersized PF.  Then it gets dicier, I like Gary Harris but I wouldn't be upset with Aaron Gordon.  I like Dario Saric a lot too, but I understand why people are luke warm on him.

Not to single you out, but I get a little tired of the criticism of Randle's so called alligator arms.  His arm length is about the same as Kevin Love, arguably the best rebounder in the NBA, and significantly longer than Larry Bird's length.  I think he had a pretty good career.

Larry bird was a SF

KL and Randle are pf's.  KL is more like a point PF. Something Randle is not.

Bold prediction.

If we don't land a top 3 pick, Danny will trade it along with Jared Sullinger or Jeff Green, or both.
2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

I'd really love to somehow pull wiggins or Parker and vonleh what kind of trade would we have to give if say our 2nd first was at 17ish what would it take to move back to 8 to grab vonleh I'd be happy with wiggins or Parker. Rondo Bradley/Wiggins Parker/green Sullinger Vonleh maybe package green and future first firsts? What do you guys think?

Noah Vonleh

No way, not with a top 5 pick.  Vonleh lacks the athleticism and explosion to be considered a top 5 prospect.  He duplicates a lot of what Sully does but in a less athletic but slightly lengthier package.  Vonleh also lacks bbiq and is a bad passer which makes him a downgrade from either Sully or KO in that area.

If I'm taking Vonleh it would be in the teen pick area, from 10-15 I think he would be a good value.  But he's just not an elite talent meriting a top 5 pick.

Weak response.

Both Love and Bird were very strong rebounders despite lacking long arms.  All this nonsense of arm length is greatly exaggerated.

Bird and KLove have a lot more range than Randle and are better passers with high b'ball IQ. I like Randle but his game is more built around strength and muscle. He won;t be able to muscle NBA players in the same way

Yup.....that's why a top five five is so critical here ......you know Exum is on DA 's short list .....after Embiid and Parker

We must tank harder .

I'd say Smart or Randle. The tournament is going to be a big influence on where these top players get drafted, so one or both might not even be there at 5.

I might be in the minority at this point, but I think Smart is going to be a powerful pro. A better version of Tyreke Evans. Closer to a Derek Rose.

Ditto on Smart. That's who I would pick. The new tanking motto for the rest of the season is "Be Dumb To Get Smart."

It really depends on what happens at the trading deadline and what the Celtics do with Avery Bradley.  If we trade for Omer Asik, then we need to focus on getting someone who can light it up outside.  I think the tournament is important.  How will these amazing teenage players handle the pressure and compete against each other?  That will say a lot about guys who are currently between 6-15 on the draft boards.  If Syracuse wins, then their point guard moves up quick.  If Oklahoma State disappoints the rest of the season, we may get a guy like Smart even at the 8-10 spot.  It is hard to say now what to do, but fun to watch.
