Eh. I'm not sure how real Amico is.
Finally someone else who like me knows the truth!
Sam Amico is an elaborate sock puppet of Wojo to make him look even better.
So, I wonder who this forum believes are "valid" writers? Seems I've seen many times where they poo-poo a rumor because they don't like the source. This includes once last year when talking about a Bleacher Report rumor concerning Ryan Mallett, that, oh by the way, was a validated rumor by others later on.
I'm going to say, hey since "Sam Amico is a national NBA columnist for FOXSports.com and FOXSportsOhio.com. He formerly covered the league for NBA.com and is the founding editor of ProBasketballNews.com. His NBA coverage has also appeared in USA Today and the Boston Herald, and on CBSSports.com and HoopsHype.com", I'll consider him a viable source.
Amico is a solid sports writer. But when it comes to being a breaking news source, he's hardly reliable--and track record matters a lot when it comes to sifting through all the trade rumours.
Woj, for example, doesn't tend to report things unless they're about to happen. The Same can't be said for Stephen A Smith--who is also a solid sports writer, for the record.
In fact, I'd say that most people pay attention to Woj strictly for his twitter feed, since his articles are, uh, of a certain archaic style that doesn't appeal to many people in the present day.
