  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
TP for the news/link.

Kid is going to be SICK if that jumpshot gets just slightly better-he's got the work ethic to handle it.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I'd be a little concerned taking him. At 4 or 5 you certainly consider it but there's a good amount of risk involved when dealing with a player who has never played against top competition.

Do they still have the rule in place that he can go back to school if he doesn't like his expected draft position?

per twitter

Jonathan Givony ‏@DraftExpress 28m

"Exum signing w/Pelinka (Dion Waiters' agent) almost assuredly means NBA teams will be seeing very little (if at all) of him until draft time"

This is interesting. With very little exposure in the states and an agent who doesn't like to show his clients much GMs could really be leaning heavy on scouts when it comes to drafting Exum.

You have to decide very early to withdraw.  But I believe he signed with an agent, which means he can't go to college.

So, because he doesn't live in the United States, he is allowed to come to the NBA without a year of college?  I thought that was a league rule?

The league rule is that players must turn 19 during the year they are drafted, so 2014 for Exum. s Since international secondary systems are not always the same as the US, that's the rule for international players.  American players have to be 19, and wait at least one year until after their high school class graduated.  What you do with that year is up to you -- most kids go to college, but Brandon Jennings went to Italy to play basketball.  Also, you don't have to graduate, and it doesn't matter if you graduate early.  Jeremy Tyler got his GED and skipped his senior season to play international ball, but had to wait two years to be drafted (his senior year and the year after).

Yeah he is the only top 8 prospect i haven't seen in a game. His highlights sure are impressive, enough to make me think he is number 4 on Danny's big board behind Embiid, Parker and wiggins.

This is exciting! I hope all of these guys decide to go to the nba this year!

Yup.

Digging the Barkley + Pizza combination you've got going on, by the way.
