the Celtics got themselves a top 3 pick this year, would you trade rondo and the hawks/nets pick (maybe add some second-round picks as sweeteners) to move up and net another pick in the 4th-6th range?

In that case we'll be able to get two possible franchise players with Embiid/Parker/Wiggins and Exum/Smart/Randle/Gordon, which is going to be make a nice young core to develop with (along with sully, bradley and KO,who are all in their early 20s).

If yes, what combination would you prefer?

IMO, I'd pick Embiid and Exum, giving us a core of

Exum-Bradley-Green-Sullinger-Embiid

Parker and Smart then trade Jeff Green for Omer Asik.

Smart-Bradley-Parker-Sullinger-Asik

I think Green,Bradley and KO are not part of the Championship contender Danny envisions.

Sully is the only one from the list I think we keep. If hump was 2 inches taller I think we'd be sitting pretty with those 2. Physical bruisers who can punish penatrators and finish at the rim and crash the boards and box out.

Bosh,Gasol,Duncan have rings and they are offensive threats that can get back on D. I can't see why Asik would be of interest (not your point...I know) I just think we need that type....not that level which would be nice but that type. If we can get some scoring threats from the SG/PG I'd like to see them math up with Indiana who is solid on defense but do not have to worry about our scorers. Sully played Hibbert pretty [dang]ed well. We got nobody the Pacers have to double routinely. Sully and Hump are pretty solid. We get 50% shooting from just one of our SG/PG combo last Miami game and we win. Lebron was getting hammered/neck checked and stumbled on by our mini 5's...I'd love to see some scoring around those 2.

Yes, I would. Having 2 potential star players in their rookie scale contracts is the key.

Embiid and Wiggins (assuming Wiggins goes 3rd or 4th in this scenario)is what I'd go with. A difference maker on offense and defense.

It's a dream to get both Embiid and Wiggins lol

I agree that having two stars on rookie contracts is the key. That allows us to have the cap space to sign borderline stars through free agency and assemble a top contender.

I think the opposite: not sure than Sully is going to improve from who he is now, and he'll always be challenged by size against a half-dozen good teams, whereas KO can be expected to improve and may become a key cog. I wouldn't be surprised to see Sully packaged with a couple of picks for a higher-potential player.

I think he was very NBA ready and is a decent player but I too think his ceiling is lower than most here.   I do not think he is a really a stretch four or five and his three point shooting is suspect.   While he is a deft low post player anyone with length and discipline can own him due to his lack of lift.  He also can't challenge shots of other bigs.

Bradley is poised to be the most championship caliber of Green, KO, Sully and Green.  He has D and O and doesn't disappear as much as Green.   KO and champion should never be mentioned together.   Green's talent is maddening but he is weak mentally.  Sully is the same player as he was last year and will be next year a .43% shooting big, who can rebound but thinks he is Kevin Love Jr.  Oh well his shot selection helps us reach the lotto.
