So we don't know the details of Rondo's contract extension offer, but we know the maximum deal he could get for extending now is 2 years at roughly 15 million per year.
He'd only be extended for 2 more seasons though, so security wise for him that might not be the best move which is understandable.
My limited understanding is that if he signs a max deal in the final season of his current contract, he's eligible for a higher pay rate at more years.
So we'd be looking at $17 million plus over 4-5 years?

So, what's Rondo worth in 2015 if he comes back to 110% old Rondo, with slightly improved shooting?
I'd say about 15-16 million over 4 years. My biggest concern is seeing him play with poorer guys like our current roster.
Id also assume though if we do resign him, at some point we'll get him some effective shooters to maximize his passing brilliance/floor grasp.
