This is why people like myself feel Rondo is not nearly as good as he's made out to be.

It's nice if you can make nifty Harlem Globetrotter like-passes and "get your teammates involved" or "be a great facilitator" (or however the Rondo song and dance goes.)

But if you can't knock down two free throws at the end of the game when you're down by just 4, then where does that leave you?

What will be interesting is how he plays without good catch and shoot guys (KG, Pierce, Allen, Jet, etc.).  Much was made about Rondo's passing ability, but these players allowed Rondo the spacing needed to create. Our spacing has looked awful when Rondo's in there. Crawford had his issues, and I'm not saying he's better than Rondo by any means, but he did have range and created good spacing for teammates.

So because he's not a good free throw shooter we have to ignore the rest of his game? Okay....

Plus even good shooters miss those. Ray Allen has, Pierce has, everyone you care to name has probably at some point.

Yeah, really can't excuse the missed free throws, but I'm willing to cut him some slack otherwise. He's only been back for three games, after all. He'll be fine, eventually.
