Gorman was on Toucher and Rich this morning.

Must have been pretty serious and I wonder if it was directed to his teammates or to Stevens?

Also..there seems to be some interest in Jeff Green

Gorman said when he talks to people around the league, it sounds like there is a real big interest in Jeff Green

Oh, now I get it: "rival executives think Celtics are motivated to trade Jeff Green" = "we're interested in getting Green for pennies on the dollar".

Good luck with that.

Things are beginning to make sense now. No way danny Ainge sends bogans packing if he did nothing wrong.

Yeah, I figured something was up and maybe he pulled an Andre Miller on the team bus and Ainge wanted to get him away from the team.

Tommy alluded to this, vaguely. Bogans got upset when Brooks played over him.

I remember, he said something about his ego too.

beat me to it.

green is a very good basketball player, just not as the prime focus of a team's offense. on a team with 1-2 other scorers, he will be great. so of course a number of teams would like to have him.

but what are they willing to give up to get him in a trade? there's the rub. ainge has said time and again he does not give up talent without getting equivalent or better in return.

but i am taking this thread away from bogans. soooo.... yep bogans is gone probably due to being irked and frustrated that he cannot play the game he loves.

in a way, i admire his desire to play. in another way, he did not have enough talent to crack a crappy celtic rotation this year. it did not take much to make his presence cost more than it is worth.

bah-bye bogey!!!

It's funny though because soon after his dismissal we needed guard help and he'd probably be getting some good playing time especially now that Jerryd is sidelined. Patience really is key.

Do you think Green was great on the Thunder?

Seriously not a smart move by Bogans.  If he had just bided his time he would have seen some minutes.  I appreciate his desire to play but you don't create an incident and then get rewarded with minutes.

As for JG.  sure, I'd trade him for the right package.  But not just yet.  Let the teams out there stew over their desire for Green first, then scoop up the best deal when the deadline arrives.  if the deal is not good enough at the deadline, you wait until draft day.

I wonder if this is the thing G. Wallace was complaining about as well.

Guys, it is called "showcasing" and it worked (to an extent).

I'm really surprised a veteran like Bogans couldn't read the tea leaves. Danny usually does look to get guys in a good situation when he can. Probably not as inclined now, or able.

Probably because Bogans has an inflated view of himself.

Bogans would never have qualified for that treatment.  He is a contract that will go wherever he is needed.  And eventually he will be cut, and be free to go where someone might actually want him, and not just his contract.

AS far as what happened...I don't really blame anyone here.  It sounds like Bogans had an outburst from the frustration of his situation.  He responded the way you would want any really competitive person to respond.

He is gone now, not really because of the outburst, which I am sure happen all the time.  He is gone because there was no reason for him to be there, getting frustrated.  He is a contract to trade, and that is all to this team.  So, there is absolutely no reason to keep him with the team, when he wasn't going to be playing, and he was just getting frustrated watching other guys play over him.

Oh, and he should have been playing over Brooks as well, but Brooks played because he was the younger guy, who had more of a chance to help this team going forward, while Bogans remained just a contract.  There was more upside to the team in playing Brooks, even though Bogans is the better basketball player right now.

Agree with all of this, and I'll just add that Bogans signed up for this.

He signed up to be a ballast contract because it paid him 5 million dollars.
