Asik for green makes too much sense for both teams.

Nobody else seems like they care for Asik

How about Green and Bass for Perry Jones, Jeremy Lamb, and Hasheem Thabeet?  (Perkins as filler)

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=lf23cg7

Get some young, cheap players and next year Perkins will be a nice expiring contract to have.
How about we just waive Green?

That's a bit drastic. But I do think Ainge should threaten Green he'll send him home, just like Bogans. That'll motivate Green to put up bigger numbers so that we might at least get a 2nd rounder for him.
Because trading him for a bunch of spare parts and on-their-way-outs isn't?

Here is who I would be looking at if I was Danny.
1. Monroe
2. Larry Sanders
3. Asik
4. Biyombo/MKG
5. Okafor's expiring/a pick from Phoenix
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I would do a trade like this.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=luol2ax

The Wizards are in a playoff push mode.  This should help (with Ariza's play not as strong as early in the season)

The Suns are in a playoff push and this helps without changing money on the book for next season.

Celtics role the die on Porter and cut Wallace's salary.

Basic

Boston:  Out Green, Wallace and Humphries

in:  Porter, Okafor, Seraphin and Temple

Wiz:  out Ariza, Porter, Seraphin and Templ

in Green and Wallace

Suns: out Okafor

in:  Ariza and Humphries.  Would likely have to throw in a pick.

With Terrence Jones playing so well, do the Rockets gain anything by acquiring Green?

Talent.  Scoring options.  A guy who can play 25+ minutes and score 12+ points a game without getting in Dwight's way.

When you have Dwight Howard and James Harden, you can really never have enough 6'9'' combo-forwards with 3 point range.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Green and Humphries for Pau Gasol.

At best, we get a double-double guy. At worst, we shed Green's salary.

Or, I'll trade him to Memphis and two second rounders for Tayshaun's corpse and their 2014 first. I'd be willing to endure another year of Tayshaun if we get another 1st. Clearly Green is a big upgrade over Prince despite having one more year. Memphis is not trying to tank. So while I'm not sure they'd give a first, they could certainly use this upgrade.
2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

Which may mean  you shouldn't either.

Is Asik even healthy? He reportedly has a lingering knee issue. If so, I would demand they accept a low offer for him or prove hat he's healthy.

Gallinari is out for the season.

Anyone interested in Gallo plus maybe Anthony Randolph?

Monroe and jerebko for green and a second rounder ( may consider the clips pick)
Why for Detroit?
Allows smith to move to 4
Green doesn't touch hold on to the ball a lot. when he gets it he shots or passes quickly, perfect next to a fool like j smith.
Drummond, smith ,green is a ridiculously athletic front court.
Detroits going no where. Change for change sake.

Why for boston?
Monroe doesn't help us win now but is a good building block for the future.
Getting a high quality big removes the pressure to draft a center and allows us to pick from a much deeper pool of quality wings.
( if we get the chance I'd still draft embiid)
Both Monroe and jerebko's contracts are up this year. At best Monroe proves to be a keeper and we sign him long term. making the perk for green trade essentially a perk for Monroe deal (who'd say no to that)
At worst they both leave and we are free to rebuild w/o greens money on the books.
Finally: jerebko would play meaningful minutes on this squad, that can only help the tank train keep momentum.

Yes, this knee injury has been a bit mysterious. Though I read a few weeks ago, that it kept swelling up every time he tried to practice and he was seeing a specialist.

Monroe has talent but we don't need another unathletic big guy.  I don't think he is a fit with Sullinger.

How bout Danny Granger. He looks healthy now and will obviously want to prove that he is back. ? He ain't want to be always playing behind George now would he.
