I have a question for all of you good folks!

I am wondering, what exactly does Kelly keep doing to earn more playing time? About 3 weeks ago he had his best game of the year (the 21 point game) and then the next 2 games he only got 8 minutes each. He finally got an abundance of playing time again 3 games ago and had by far his best game of the year. Then the next two games his pt steadily decreased again. What is happening to cause him to lose playing time?

I'm asking this because I'm a Gonzaga fan and I don't get a chance to watch your games. Is he rebounding poorly? Getting worked on defense? Not fitting into the flow offensively? His stats per minute seem like they have consistently stayed pretty good despite the limited playing to. So what is it!

Thanks in advance!

He has always been a mediocre rebounder. He is getting pushed around. And one bad defensive play for example he gets disturbed out there. Confidence is drained

He did well against the heat the last game we won. And yesterday he struggled.

He just needs to put it together. He was also really trying hard to prevent the bird man to rise up for a rebound. Again with added strength it should get easier to box out.

joakim noah also has narrow shoulders but look at him now. Has considerably bulked up. Olynyk needs to transform also

Thanks guys! I appreciate all of the honest answers without any bashing! Those net production numbers are pretty telling. I figured he was mostly just playing terrible defense. I bet his defense will improve, he is too smart of a player not to learn and adapt his game (especially if he becomes more athletic). Even in college his defense was terrible the first half of the year, but it improved a ton in the second half of the season once he finally started learning how to play interior D.
