As much as I like AB and his honey badger game he's very limited and only good for a backup SG..
he can obviously defend but a very limited SG
he can shoot but not efficiently, can't pass and handle the ball and a very undersized SG...
I don't understand this perception by people that AB is only good for a backup SG, isn't starter-quality, isn't efficient, yada yada. I'll give you the fact that he can't pass well or handle the ball, but that's the benefit of playing next to the best passing/ball handling PG in the league- Bradley's weaknesses are all covered by Rondo's strengths, which is part of why they fit so well together.
As for Bradley not being efficient, since when is .445 FG% & .380 3P% not efficient? Ever since the end of his sophomore season, when he started playing starter mins and took over Ray's spot in the lineup, Bradley has been very efficient. (With the exception of last yr, which is understandable, as he was coming off his double shoulder surgery.)
I understand that ppl look at Bradley and think he is undersized, but what does that matter, when he is still widely considered the best perimeter defender in the league, and can consistently lock down opposing shooting guards, whether they are taller than him or not. Just look at what he did to Harden against Houston recently-- he held Harden to one of his most inefficient shooting nights of the season.
As long as we can re-sign Bradley in the 7-10mill per season range, I say it's a no-brainer to lock him up for 3or4yrs. He is still improving game by game, and any contract at 10mil per season or less could turn out to be a steal.
Most of the SG's that ppl want to replace Bradley with, are lesser players who will demand even bigger contracts.
With the exception of Tony Allen, who is nowhere near as good of a shooter, scorer, or cutter as Bradley is, what other guards whom are talented enough to make the All-Defensive teams, can be had at 10mill per year or less? I can't think of any.
On a side note, Bradley is also developing into one of the better rebounders at the SG spot, averaging 4.2rpg this year, in under 32mpg.
